Re: Draft Grades

Gave it an A. First four picks were great. Robert Davis, and Holsey can be eventual contributors. Nicholson was a reach at #123; Would've gone Interior OL or NT.

Re: Draft Grades

NOBODY KNOWS Who did good in draft and won't for a few years..all it takes is one player to really step up or your main guy to fail ..Look at Cousins draft class ..How did that go ..our main guy RGIII was bust after 2 years and Kirk in the 4th round is now a top QB ..all this grading is a joke. I will say i believe skins on paper did not reach and took some solid picks..but if you watched the draft its plain to see that the redskins get know respect from the league..little things add up and other than Mayock nobody had much to add about redskins draft. i like the fact that we drafted to bolster the D ..maybe we did ...I hope so!

Nicholson was a wasted pick. I agree with you...easily could have taken a better player on the Oline

Re: Draft Grades

I give it a B.

- Allen was a windfall pick. Exceptional value at #17.
- Anderson was very productive. There were other Edge players I liked better.
- I loved the Samaje Perine pick in Round 4! He is very underrated IMO.
- Moreau's pec tear bothers me. He could miss a lot of time. He can play, though.
- Nicholson was a reach. Looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane. We'll see about him.
- I don't know much about Sprinkle. We'll see.
- Anything we get out of 6th and 7th Rounders is an unexpected pleasant surprise.

Re: Draft Grades

Solid B from me.

Allen has Pro Bowl potential written all over him.

Anderson brings toughness and attitude.

Moreau was a value because of the injury, and some good insurance if Breeland doesn't earn that 2nd contract.

Perine could be a real sleeper, I won't be surprised at all if he wins the job in camp. I love guys with his running style.

Nicholson seemed like a bit of a head scratcher, but at this point I'm going to defer the guys that do this evaluation stuff for a living.

Another pick I liked that could be one to watch is Chase Roullier.

Re: Draft Grades

I give it an A. They got the team substantially better where they needed to. Through round 4 it's hard to argue with any pick. After that, it's hard to know. So you can't demand much more. ANd not that I'm grading on a curve, but for a REDSKIN draft, this was an A+. We've been through some shitty ones. And this wasn't one of them!

Re: Draft Grades

I gave it a B. First 4 picks are starting material. The def backs have potential, as well as our new wr. Our new center looks like he can contribute as well. I would have given the draft an A, but we drafted 3 def backs and might not get one starter from the bunch.

Re: Draft Grades

Both Allen and SP will start day 1. I have no doubts about that

I agree with this entirely. I think other than Allen, Perine will turn out to be the most immediate impactful player we drafted.

I also like Roullier a lot. He reminds me of when we drafted Long a few years back. Big, nasty interior guy who plays angry. If he can develop into a LG/C type of player like Long has we should be in good shape after Lauvao leaves.

Re: Draft Grades

I gave it an A. Allen has the makings of being our best first round pick since Cris Samuels. If we have a perennial pro bowler then that alone makes this draft successful. I like the value of most the picks. We were able to take BPA (mostly), fill needs, find leaders, and good fits to compliment our existing talent. But what really tipped it over to an A for me is that they were patient, didn't panic, tried to trade up for good value but only for the right price, and didn't reach terribly except for maybe one pick.

Chase Roullier named one of the best mid-round draft gems
