I donít know how the rest of the team feels but I saw on Twitter Adrian Peterson tweeting @Swearinger that he was still shaking his head in disbelief,It was an honor playing with him, I will always appreciate the authenticity of Who you are as a competitor, thatís what makes you the warrior you are! I would take you on my team any day!

The Chiefs are already interested in claiming him.

You're 100 percent right getting rid of him did not fix anything.

But keeping him would have created a whole host of problems and signaled to everyone it's ok to throw your coaches under the bus.

I have also seen ex players and coaches come back to DC and kick our ass. In fact it is pretty common.
Again, a great way to prove your point would be to list a few successful teams who allow their players to rip their coaches in the media.

You know, a model we should copy.

If it is acceptable, or a good thing to do, should be pretty common.

Re: D.J. Swearinger released

Read the last part of the story on what DJ would do as a coach of a player called him out in the media.

He would shut it down too, but his answer absolved him of any responsibility.

Lol, too much!

Re: D.J. Swearinger released

If DJ was told to keep things in house and he chose to continue this behavior then he truly has a lack of respect for the coaches and team and got what he probably deserved. My concern is the "laid back" practices and the way he says this team practices and prepares for games. If that is the case maybe that is why the last couple of years this team has been decimated with injuries. If that is it then maybe a new set of coaches are needed. I'm getting tired of seeing us lead the league in players on the IR.

The cancer is our front office and coaching staff. NOT DJ.

DJ is NOT the problem with this team.

Again, can anybody name successful teams where taking shots through the media is tolerated, accepted or encouraged?

DJ said it wouldn't happen if he was the coach.

Re: D.J. Swearinger released

I approve of this move for 2 reasons.

A. You can't let a player shit on you multiple times over a season, publicly and then go out there and have average play himself. For the last 5-6 weeks he's played the "Its not my fault" game. That is bush league.

B. His deal was up in 2020, and I doubt the skins would pay him what he was going to ask for.

This season is over but the key word in your question is TEAM. As others have said you dont want players who consistently berate and spark divisiveness in the locker room. We probably became a better football TEAM with a need for a new safety
