This sounds more likely than him selling outright, but fingers crossed

ENTIRELY possible this is just selling a minority stake. Cash infusion to build a stadium. Deep breaths folks

Some additionally context:

@AlbertBreer
The @Forbes story on Daniel Snyder hiring Bank of America to handle the sale of the @Commanders comes with a very big qualifier, saying the "transaction could be for the entire NFL team or a minority stake."

Snyder's been defiant about selling through a series of statements.

Let's say someone is serious about buying him out for $7B or $8B, tough for him to not consider taking that

Total Snyder move, get us all excited, then only sells like a 10% stake.

I'll just start preparing to be extremely disappointed now. That is the 1 thing I can always count on from him.

The internet circle-jerk that will happen in here if he fully sells the team will be fucking legendary.

I don't see Snyder leaving the prestige of the NFL ownership group but this is a good point.

Unless....
How can Snyder screw over the NFL and it's fans?
Saudi Money!

Think JP is on to something. Owners already said they are not going to extend debt limit (should have done this when minority owners wanted buy out too) for him to build a new stadium so he has to get cash he doesn't have some other way.

There's a lot of money to be made as the minority owner of an NFL franchise. There are plenty of billionaires who could care less about on-field success or off-field issues. As long as their investment grows, it will be worth it.

I agree with this. IMO this is a smoke screen and the first step toward him moving the team away from the DMV.
