Re: LOL @ Redskins
most of us were loving the D when they were getting all those turnovers.
im confused, to be honest this year it is hard for me to see what adjustments we make in game on the d side of the ball. its just hard to tell what kind of D we are playing on any given play watching on the tv.
Unfortunately we don't have the offense to convert those turnover into points. I'd be curious to know what points of turnover stat for the Skins this season looks like. |
I think people / fans are tired of seeing the same Redskins team every year no matter who the coach is, who the QB is...it just seems we are destined to be mediocore or worse. Last night was just unacceptable, especially coming of a bye week. We looked so unprepared it was ridiculous.
It's this. I understand that we're not a great team by any means, it's just getting blown out that bad at home considering we've beaten the same team in their place to the tune of 59 points just makes me feel like that change is never coming. I thought if anything like you said, McNabb, Jamaal Brown, Trent Williams that we'd be looking so much better by now. |
Re: LOL @ Redskins
Yeah it looked like we did jack **** during the bye week.

Re: LOL @ Redskins
Points From Turnovers
Before the bye, Washington had approximately 9 INTs and 9 Fumbles Recovered for a total of 18 Takeaways. Since two of those takeaways ended the game (or the Redskins ran out the clock), let's say 16 true take aways. From 16 Takeaways, the Redskins got 4 TDs and 3 FGs. |
Re: LOL @ Redskins
no doubt they wanted it more than we did. But i just go back to a couple of plays during that game. Running 3 straight times on our first series (with a guy that hasn't played at all), then Moss's failed attempt at catching the ball on 3rd down, which led to the 21-0 score. Then Galloway dropping the pass on 3rd down, then its 28-0. If we convert those two third downs i think it is a totally different ball game. Those drives stay alive and maybe we put some points up. It was just so out of control when the 2nd quarter started. Kills me to see old ass Galloway out there. He really does absolutely nothing. No one is scared of him. The single cover him every play which does nothing for any other receiver on the field. I still find it hard to believe Thomas couldn't play infront of this guy.
Williams has played plenty this year. Regardless, not sure any of that would have mattered with the way they shredded our D. They scored at will. |

DeSean's choice of words are a little uncomfortable for Vick:

I don't know what trade looks worse. Brown or McNabb. They both stink. Brown can't even stay on the field and has to have Mr. Roller Skates come in for him..... and we all know about McNabb's struggles. |
Re: LOL @ Redskins
I would hope any reasonable person wouldn't expect us to be playing for home field advantage. However, when you go out and pay $100million for this guy, $7 million for the best coach out there, trading for McNabb, Jamaal Brown to help solidify the oline, you do kind of think we would win those "winable" games. And at least be in the mix for a wild-card. Which we still are. Only two games out of the division with two games against the Giants still on the schedule. So, we aren't done by any means. But Redskins fans as a whole buy into the hype quicker than any team in the NFL. I went from 7-9 to 9-7 as an early prediction, and think it is still possible. I think people / fans are tired of seeing the same Redskins team every year no matter who the coach is, who the QB is...it just seems we are destined to be mediocore or worse. Oh we're more than done. After watching this team for 9 games do you honestly think we're a playoff team? Do you really think we can beat NY? C'mon. Playoff teams don't go 4 for 500 on 3rd down. |

Yup, Who the heck wants to stumble into the playoffs by some mathematical miracle just to have our asses handed to us? Not me. Lets just hope for steady improvement this season. |
Re: LOL @ Redskins
I just dont get where Eagle fans should be upset. They have been one of the more dominating teams over the last 10 years. 9 playoff appearances in 11 years. of those 9 - 5 NFC championships, 1 superbowl appearance. I would gladly trade our last 10 years for theirs in a second.
Well loosing hurts durn the season and loosing hurts even more the deaper you get into the playoffs. The Eagle fans have nothing to show for what the team has done but a pat on the back. Like last night did not really bother me that bad because the game was over after the first 10 min. and after that it became pretty funny. If we had lead until a last minute FG I would have been deflated from the loss. |
No excuse for tonight. Will they fold it up or bounce back is the real question
Too late. After lions and bye week it was fold it up or bounce back. |

Idk man. 7 games left and we're one game out of .500. Doesn't feel too late to me. Logic says after everything that's happened we might be headed on a downward spiral but as NFL fans we should all know rarely do things happen logically in the NFL. According to logic the Pats should've smoked Cleveland a week ago and we all know how that turned out. I'll wait to declare the season over until we're several games under .500 and we've consistently looked awful. Last night was just one of those nights where absolutely nothing went in our favor. It happens in the NFL. Just ask the Chiefs if the 2-6 Broncos were an easy opponent. |
Re: LOL @ Redskins
By the way did anyone else see TO's tweet about Donovan's contract?
T.O. claims his brother posted the anti-Donovan Twitter message | ProFootballTalk Or his brother's tweet, as TO claimed Donovan had a good response though. Bengals are 2-7, or something like that, so who's he to talk |
