Re: Haynesworth might learn a few things about Shanahan from Plummer
Yeah but that at least was based on a commercial that even Campbell himself was in poking fun at himself
Yeah I was going to type that out too but got lazy and figured it was implied by the other post about it being from the commercial by explaining this I've just typed 11ty times what I had to by just adding that to my other post.. woe is me |
Re: Haynesworth might learn a few things about Shanahan from Plummer
Fatal Bert...lol I still cant get over how amazingly terrible that name is...
It has no flow, no ring and no sense. Nothing. |

I kept thinking about this pic

When I first saw it I thought it was a reference to a crazed Sesame Street character that goes around killing the other Muppets with a butcher knife. |
Re: Haynesworth might learn a few things about Shanahan from Plummer
Muppetcide is an increasing blight on our society.

Re: Haynesworth might learn a few things about Shanahan from Plummer
I actually have that one part down pat to the point where I can actually impersonate Campbell saying "Candle? It's Campbell, Jason Campbell." Other then that I can't really do his voice.

way to spell DISCIPLINE |
Re: Haynesworth might learn a few things about Shanahan from Plummer
Haynesworth came to this team with some expectations and promises. Those expectations are no longer going to be met due to coaching changes. I'm inclined to side with Haynesworth and recommend to him that if he does not desire to play in the Skins' new defensive schema he give back the money and walk away.

I think there is a better chance of Al playing every snap this season than him giving $ back. |
I think this should also put to bed this silly crap about Snyder still pulling strings. Imagine what he's thinking right now. I just cut a $21M check to AH and he's being shopped?
Shanahan's response? Damn straight, this is my team.
i likey :) |
Re: Haynesworth might learn a few things about Shanahan from Plummer
I'm for Shanahan doing whatever he likes with the roster and schemes. However, he has to pay the price (on Snyder's coin) to part with Haynesworth since it was understood and agreed upon by the team before Allen and Shanahan were hired that Haynesworth would play in a 4-man front.

Some of those expectations and promises were never met. |
Then coaches need to stop making such big f'ing deal out of it. Basically in any situation it becomes an "unwritten" rule then, and it is annoying and distracting (by both sides, players and coaches).
I agree with you to a certain extent, but the culture at Redskins Park was in need of a serious overhaul. I'm not for "sending a message" every offseason, but I do think Shanahan has every right to lay down the law. The culture of player entitlement and me-first has got to go if we ever hope to be real contenders. |

The culture that really needs to be changed is the culture of change. The more things change the more they stay the same. |
Re: Haynesworth might learn a few things about Shanahan from Plummer
There's been a culture of change, because real deep rooted change has never happened. In recent years it was like a stupid man changing his attire only to look smart. Hopefully this time it means that same man has hired a pair of tutors that will help him get smarter lol
