Talks are all but finalized, deal to come soon
Golladay wants to go somewhere where he will be WR1 and gets paid like one. I'll be curious what the deal is going to look like. Curtis Samuels, come on down! |
I’m still pissed we didn’t fight that in court. We’d have won easily. I heard we didn’t because Goodell was going to make sure we kept being the Redskins. Well we see how that worked out when he felt the least bit of pressure. 🖕🖕you Roger.
All the Owners would have turned on us forever if we exposed systemic collusion. There was an agreement--informal--among owners not to destroy the salary cap in spirit with the kinds of contracts we structured. Yet another example of THE DAN being THE DAN. He is so used to getting away with fraud and shitting on people he just expects to every time. Think how much less the owners make without a salary cap? It is their golden goose, THE DAN threatened it with end-run contracts. |
Seattle should have taken that deal and traded up in this year's draft for Fields or Lance. What a haul. Stupid Bears.
Except that with Wilson, Bears picks all late ones. Franchise QB most precious commodity in pro sports. When you have one you don't trade one, period. Wilson can whine all he wants, he's under contract, and he'll do what he's told. Fields or Lance could easily bust. Wilson is a proven franchise QB. Texans signed Taylor at QB. Watson can sit on the bench and watch Taylor start all year if he holds out. |

Jayon Brown staying with Titans, 1 year deal.
Really wanted him. |

Tre Boston released. Wonder if he'll be a target for FS.

I think wed be the odds on favorite. This FO seems to value multi position inter-changeable players like Curl, Fuller and Collins. Can play back or up near the line in nickel and dime. based on the package, Curl could be S or 3rd DB, same with Fuller and Collins. Tre Boston could free us up .. did he have a decent year last year though? Can he play up to the level of Collins/Fuller/Curl? Anthony Harris would be a huge jolt but we arent hearing anything on that front and seems cost prohibitive. Tre seems more our approach. |
Re: NFL Free Agency Around the League
On one hand, I hope the Giants hella overpay for Golladay. On the other, I hope they don't because it will only drive up the price for Curtis Samuel.

They were not end run contracts they were legal because there was no salary cap that year and the NFL approved the contracts. Just because they hate Dan doesn’t mean they’re allowed to break the law. |

@TomPeliserro
#49ers LT Trent Williams' six-year, $138.06 million deal is actually two deals: three years, $60.75 million to start, and a three-year, $77.31M option the club can exercise by April 1, 2023. If exercised, Williams' 2023 pay becomes mostly guaranteed. He gets $32.4M in Year 1. |
