Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
No to Goff .... Watson was never going happen.. Stafford was a great idea but seems a lot of other teams had same idea, please please no Cam ! Options now ? Carr, Darnold,Fitz, Tua ??( would you trade 19th for him?) .. how about this years and next years to move up and grab top rookie Qb ?

Mariota or Carr.. one of them is gone, I’d definitely bring one Carr in to start for 2/3 years |

Carr would smoke TH and KA in a QB1 competition. Derek is a really good QB.

I wouldn't oppose to trading for Carr as long as we are not giving up our 1st round pick

That’s what it would take though. He’s been a very good QB for his career and coming off a really good season. What are we picking at 19 that is better than Carr? The only QB that could be left by then is Mac Jones. |

Maybe so and I’d do it today seeing as though Stafford is probably out |
Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
I'd take Carr if he becomes available and the deal was good. Aside from 2017 he's steadily gotten better which suggests to me he's starting to peak. He's 29 which means he has years ahead of him. If you paired his 2020 season (best) with our D we'd definitely be better than 7-9. He'd need 2-3 more weapons, but if the trade wasn't too onerous we'd have picks left to get WR and TE, as well as fill OL and D gaps. And that's assuming we don't make good pickups in FA. In watching him on Hard Knocks and seeing him play, he reminds me of the same style of play as Favre, statistically he's arguably better at this stage of his career (rating, TD:INT).

I agree, his arm is good and he doesn’t make boneheaded decisions. I think the Raiders are dumb if they let him go |

Might as well take a chance on him if Gruden does his perpetual “my QB isn’t good enough and I can’t really develop them like I’ve conned people into believing I can, so I’m looking for another one” schtick....for our 2nd or 3rd I’d do it today. |

Yes, he does bonehead decisions, trust me. If the Raiders want to get rid of him there is a reason. |

Yes, Jon Gruden’s an idiot and a horrible coach. |
Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
Carr averages 10 INTs a season.. I’d say that’s not too bad
24 Passing TDs per as well. He’s a solid Top 15 guy |
Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
Carr's price tag should be much less than Stafford.
Whoever we wind up with, it better not be too expensive. Carr for a first rounder in any season, and I'll be pissed. But Carr for a 3rd rounder? I'd be happy as a clam. It all depends on what it costs to get him. |
Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
I don't love Carr but we need a QB. A 1st seems a tad high but I wouldn't be too mad. A 2nd or lower and I'd be happy.
We need to add a stud WR2 for him though. He isn't an elite playmaker imo, he needs a strong cast (as most do). |
Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
Statistically, Carr and Stafford are basically the same guy, and Carr is younger. The compensation it would take to land them would likely be very comparable. Especially given the amount of teams that are looking at upgrading their QB situation.

But it’s supply and demand. You hear about 1/3 of the league inquiring about Stafford. You don’t hear that about Carr. To be honest, has anyone ever actually confirmed Carr is available, or is Carr all Twitter hopefuls hype? |

Well Stafford asked for a trade, that's why a bunch of teams are inquiring. If Carr & Stafford asked for a trade on the same day, all the same teams would be inquiring about both of them. |
Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
Carr>Stafford.
I'd offer a 2nd for Carr. Would be a massive upgrade for us. |
Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
My understanding is the Washington Football Team is open to potentially, dealing more than just a 1st-rounder for a formidable veteran QB, depending on if it's the right deal*. The team is currently exploring its options.

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
It would take more than #19 to get Carr. He has been a very good starter now for a few years. Not even sure why or if he's on the market. If Gruden traded him cause he has a hard on for Mariota then he is dumb as dumb gets.

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
Well scratch Stafford and Goff from the list...
Watson (no happening) Carr (prob not happening) Dak (They won't let him walk) Ryan (If Atlanta takes a QB , it's possible) We are down to Mariota, Cam , Tyrod... |
Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
Tyrod Taylor - come on down.

Rams’ first round picks by year:

Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk[/quote] Mariota is garbage. Washed out in Tennessee and wasn’t good enough to be any more than a backup. Don’t want him. Or Cam. My list is of next possible QBs: Want: Watson (not going to happen) Dak (doubtful) Carr (probably not available) Don’t want but could live with: Darnold Hurts Bridgewater Ryan Taylor Don’t want under any circumstance: Garopolo Trubisky Winston Mariota Newton Wentz |

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
At this point let someone fall in the draft, trade up if necessary for Lance or Fields. Maybe Mac Jones will be there at 19.
