Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
I am not liking Dez Bryant on the Cowboys
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
Great, another WR with character issues for the Cowboys. Austin Miles must be feeling great.

Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
Look at this clown. Perfect Cowboy.

Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
from Wes ODonnell, no clue who he is but here are his points:
Here are five reasons why the Oklahoma Sooner, Trent Williams, is the best offensive tackle in the 2010 NFL Draft. Athleticism When all the hype was surrounding Bruce Campbell of Maryland at the NFL Combine, Williams quietly posted great numbers of his own. At 6’4" 5/8, 315 pounds, Williams showcased fantastic speed, burst, and explosion posting a 4.88 40, 34.5 inch vertical jump, and a 9’5" broad jump. All three of these stats were good enough for top three in their respective categories. He has great agility, fantastic feet, displays good balance, can get up to the second level and make plays and can recover if beat. Versatility Williams was a do everything guy at Oklahoma and has played almost every position on the line effectively. He has played inside, he has played outside at both left and right tackle, and even ended up at center one point. He understands how and where to set up along the line and how to position himself to make the biggest impact. Physicality Williams displays a fantastic first punch and utilizes his strength off the line very well. He is also extremely tough and displays that nasty streak you look for in a lineman. He is not necessarily the biggest or the strongest, but he makes up for it with his power and intensity. Experience A by product of spending time all along the offensive front, Williams has experience for wherever he is needed. He has also played at a high level of competition throughout his career and is no stranger to top talent. His time against upper-echelon pass rushers is a huge positive. Upside Combining all four of these traits together makes for a potential star at the next level. The versatility to do whatever is asked of him, the athleticism to pull it off effectively, the physicality to make it count, and the experience in performing make Williams a hard prospect to pass up. Without comparing Williams to the other tackles in this class, he certainly has the physical and mental attributes to warrant his being selected as the top tackle of 2010. Yet, Okung is a solid player, but unspectacular. Bulaga is a talented prospect but may max out at the right side of the line and Davis has potential similar to Williams’ but has a few concerning hurdles to clear before he can make that kind of impact. When comparing him with the other prospects, Trent Williams provides the most foreseeable opportunity to become the biggest star at the next level and is the best tackle prospect of the 2010 NFL Draft class. On Thursday night the Washington Redskins will have quite the decision on their hands at No. 4 overall. Not only is Williams the best tackle in this class, he should be the first tackle selected.
Do you have some info about his actual gameplay, film study about his performance at LT for OU??? Trying to warm up to TW. |
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1

|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
dez bryant's a cowboy...now all he needs is a coke addiction and he'll fit the bill perfectly.
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
Bryant's questionable character should fit right in with Dallas.
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
Dez Bryant is a really good pick.... Miles and Bryant are going to be lethal.
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
Dez Bryant must fulfill his potential to bust.
Typical Cowboys move
Good call, another WR with drama issues. Hopefully an epic bust.

Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
They gave up a king's ransom for Roy Williams, Miles Austin just had a pro bowl year, they've got Witten, 3 good RBs, and Jerry Jones is trading UP to get another WR? Fail.
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
With only 4 picks, and 1 quality pick, you need to hit a homerun. Maybe Williams will be a homerun. The good thing about him is he should at least be a quality right tackle. Hopefully he will be a great left tackle, which should be expected of the 4th overall pick.

Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
I smell a Michael Crabtree-like hold out for Bryant.
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
I dont like it. I'll say it again.
So now their receivers are miles, Dez, Roy williams, and crayton...Damn. We need corners.
We need Orakpo to plant Romo before he has the chance to get the ball out to his talented WRs.

and flozellegwhip adams is gone maybe we can knock that goofy ass grin off of romo's face |
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
So when do the Cowboys cut their losses with Roy Williams? Does anybody really think they'll keep him around knowing he'd be down to a #3 role once Bryant is ready?
And I guess this speaks to how much I hate the Cowboys that as soon as Dez Bryant was announced I instantly hate him that much more. I didn't really like him to begin with but I definitely respect his talent on the field and I fear this will be a great pick for the Cowboys, but being that Bryant has a rep for being a punk I would definitely be happy if this failed to work out for multiple reasons. |

Austin and Bryant are the only ones worth mentioning. |
I dont like it. I'll say it again.
I agree... I hate the Cowpukes more than the next guy, but I'm not going to be a homer when looking at the pick. Bryant is the goods and they've got a bunch of offensive weapons as it is. |

Jerry making a splash, he just cant help himself |
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
Oh boy, ESPN just screwed up. They put the cameras on them when they weren't ready and Chris Berman was signaling like crazy to cut away. Too funny.

Boomer having a hissyfit on the air...priceless!!

Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
Jerry Jones looks like fox in the hen house a huge shit eatting grin. I hope Bryant holds out half the year.
