Ahhhhh hellllllllll, Peyton apparantley doesn't want to come here and now the Browns are showing a lot of interest in RGIII. We may be the odd man out in the get a QB competition.

Where have you heard that the browns are now showing a lot of interest in RG3? Last I heard their bluffing and don't want to trade their second first rounder for him.

If the skins don't get RG3, you can count on another 5-11 season.

ESPN2 stated: The browns GM Tom Heckert said "RGIII was a special athlete". ESPN went on to say that Cleveland is hoping to move up in the draft.

That doesn't mean that they're willing to give up the two first round picks though. I hope too god Cleveland decides on Flynn. We would really only have to compete with Seattle for RGIII.
This is actually a good thing… We need our own guy (Hopefully RG3) for the next 10+ years. I’m sure the Redskins haters in the media will say it because the front office is dysfunctional, and he didn’t want to play for Dan Snyder but we all know that’s not the case. I’m sure Giantone will gloat and say I told you so, and you’re not going to get RG3 either, but f them all. The Skins will be back on top again, as long as with MS and BS are running the show. Skins fan’s, we will have our time in the sun again just wait!!!

Also, let’s hope PM goes to Miami, so Matt Flynn will go to Cleveland, and then RG3 will be selected in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins
Well what if we get Flynn? It's a possibility

Everything is speculative right now. The Redskins are still in a position to get RG3. If Allen and Shanahan decide to throw in that 2nd round pick, then the deal will get done long before the draft even begins.

I agee.

Dolphins- PManning
Browns- RGIII
Skins- Flynn & Tannehill, Cousins, or Weeden.

I'm guessing we will now work hard for Flynn in FA, and pick up 2 WR's in FA, maybe an OL. Then we'll make an offer to the Rams which will be declined because the Browns will offer one 1st and their 2nd round pick for RGIII.

The Skins are not willing to give up their two 1st round picks because they would like to use the 2nd round pick for support. The Browns can give up one 1st round pick and their 2nd round pick this year and still have a 1st round pick for support.

I think they won't have a problem with that. We lose again. Have a nice day.

We'll have Flynn/Tannehill, Cousins, or Weeden.

That contradicts everything I've heard. All indications are that we are willing to give up our first this year and next year, but we are not willing to give up our first and second this year.

I don't know what his top 3 is, if he even has one. That said, I know there are reports out there that he's said no to us and that is not what I've heard at all. We're very much in it, but again (think I mentioned this before) we're not really intending to negotiate. We have a "take it or leave it" offer in mind.

If Peyton Manning was ten years younger, paying him that much money wouldn't be a bad idea. But seeing as though he's one helmet to helmet hit away from being in a wheel chair, it would be prudent of the Redskins front office to back off of pursuing Manning and eye in on RG3.

According to his doctors, Peyton Manning is no more prone to sustaining a serious neck injury playing football than any other player on the field.

Please, allow me to state the obvious. There are doctors who don't live as long as some of their patients. Manning is recovering from surgery. Some people take years to recover from one operation. Manning has reportedly had three that we know about. We, as Redskins fans, have to realize that while Peyton Manning is the greatest quarterback since Joe Montana, he's extremely prone to injury. Signing him is a bad idea for any NFL team, not just the Redskins. The risk of signing him outweigh the rewards. Even if Manning plays in 2012, he will not be 100%. He probably won't be close to 100% until 2013.

As far as I'm concerned, if he's not coming here as long as he goes to Miami it still works in our favor. Reason being, him to Miami increases the chance of Flynn to Cleveland which reduces (theoretically) the price for the RGIII trade with the Rams.

That being said, Peter King responded to a question on Twitter earlier that there's more than a 90% chance the Rams trade the pick prior to free agency so it could be a crazy Monday if we offer to Peyton, get a no, then turn around and call the Rams to make the deal before free agents hit the street on Tuesday.

Any back room chatter on who the first few free agents we may be bringing to town?

Lot of people seem to be saying Vincent Jackson will be one of the first FAs we bring in. I'm not sure.

Wouldn't surprise me if a trade is made on Monday, especially if Manning does make his decision on Monday. If we're able to hold firm and not move our #2 to get RG3 that would be outstanding.

Still hearing that Manning has not ruled the Redskins out, but Dolphins are pretty much in the driver's seat.

What does the life span of a doctor have to do with his/her prognosis on a patient? I don't see the correlation.

Secondly, it would be medically irresponsible for doctors to come out and say that Peyton Manning's healed neck is in no more danger of a career ending/life changing injury than anybody else on the field if that wasn't the case.

Lastly, Manning hasn't been injury prone. He had neck surgeries to repair those issues, but until then, had never missed a game. I don't call that injury prone.

I do agree that chances are, Manning is probably not going to be 100% this season. But as we have all said and agree, 60% of Peyton Manning is better than most NFL quarterbacks in the league right now. Certainly better than Rex Grossman and John Beck.

Are you exclusively referring of a trade between the Redskins and the Rams or just the Rams trading the pick period?

Also, youve made it clear that we have a take it or leave it offer for manning. We also appear to have a take it or leave it offer for the Rams. You've also indicated we're pretty likely to get one or the other.

Would it be safe to assume that, if Manning decides on another team, we'd be more willing flexible with the Rams on the picks? It would seem our leverage with the Rams ends if/when Manning picks another team, and we'd be desperate to get the pick... the alternative would be someone like orton, which would probably ensure the shanahans are fired after the season.
