Re: Time to Build an Offensive Line
It's pretty universally sourced that Pashos isn't a Redskin, and is headed to Cleveland right now.
If he's heading to Cleveland, he's not a Redskin. He's not on assignment. |
I agree.. Levi wouldn't be the answer but he's depth and at least a fill in starter.. I've got the strong sense that Okung will be the pick only if they have to because Bradford is gone and they can't move down..
Hey, I am starting to think that if they dont get Bradford they will take Clausen. I am also thinking they may try to trade up with the Rams. I am not sure how, but here are some players I think that are tradable. Cooley, Carter, and Campbell. They all would help the Rams get better. And of course draft picks. |

I forgot to get Holmgren his gift basket out for Christmas, mind making a stop in Cleveland on the way back home to pack? Thanks PashyPoo, seeya on the 15th! |
Re: Time to Build an Offensive Line
Hey guys we haven't really signed a solid LT, maybe we're drafting one.
Just for you guys freaking out. |
Re: Time to Build an Offensive Line
Oh no. No Pashos.

Re: Time to Build an Offensive Line
We went from being super aggressive to letting people go freely...

Re: Time to Build an Offensive Line
Don't worry, something is telling me he is flying to Cleveland to ratchet that contract up about 250k a year from the skins.
Our line will suddenly look formidable with the additions of Pashos, Okung and Asamoah. Now I just hope we can get a real #1 receiver that JC can toss to. Every day it looks more and more like we will fix LT and the other guard position in the draft, and JC will be our QB of the future. maybe with a line and a real #1 pass catcher, he can flourish. Here's to hoping!!! |

I think this is in BA's wheelhouse. He wasn't brought here to overspend. |
Re: Time to Build an Offensive Line
I think I see what they're doing here if they sign Pashos. We'll draft a LT at No. 4 and have a heavy zone blocking o-line. Okung(for sake of argument) dockery, Rabach (loneexception to the heavy line) artis hicks and pashos. Yeah they're slow but at least they're slow together...and are mashers for damn-sake.
mash right, mash left, mash in the middle, pass, and win. |

Maybe the money wasn't right? Maybe we're waiting to see what happens in the draft before deciding who we might want to start? What if Pashos says, "I like the offer, but I want to start" or something? Not fair to guarantee that. Maybe we go in and get an Okung or Campbell and there we have our answer, then we can sign someone for depth or be happy with what we have at tackle at the moment. Maybe we don't go T 1st round and do it 2nd round with a guy we think can start. Maybe someone else goes T and ends up cutting a decent guy that might start otherwise allowing us to pick him up? I'm not going to get too upset about us passing over 2 or 3 30-some year old tackles when more will enter the picture in the coming months. |

Re: Time to Build an Offensive Line
I think we'd rather have jimmy clausen then bradford..way better prospect....I know sorry wrong board I know. But yes pashos would be nice to have, we also should address the OL in the 2nd round assuming we go QB in the first...which we should and will b/c the QB draft for next year looks miserable. Not much talent until the USC QB comes out....i'm assuming we won't have a top 5 pick next year so LOCKER is out of the question.

Re: Time to Build an Offensive Line
people need to learn....to WIN in the NFL you need to do 3 things.
1. have a high level QB. 2. protect your high level QB. 3. get to the other teams QB. plain and simple |
Re: Time to Build an Offensive Line
My biggest regret about this offseason? The board slowed down. That's it. The rest of my regrets won't start until it's clear that we've ignored things, if we do.
