Re: Springs for Bly trade offered
I just don't see all the hoopla over Bly...I really don't.
Please keep your unhappy a** in Denver. |
Re: Springs for Bly trade offered
I think some people are weary of a Smoot-Rogers-Jimoh-???? secondary -- and with good reason, I might add.
Especially if Springs is really clawing to get out of here. |
Re: Springs for Bly trade offered
Who is saying that Springs wants out of here? He is still our best cover corner. He needs to be here and, I hope he wants to be here. Hopefully he will be a team guy and restructure some. If he doesn't, we are screwed. We have shit for draft picks. Our focus needs to be defensive line. One that can create all kinds of havoc and terror. Right now we have two serviceble guys there now.
i hope we trade that old money guzzling fart he is like herpes he just wont go away
That seems a bit extreme but whatever. I wonder if Saunders has put in a good word for Bly from their days together in St. Louis? |
Re: Springs for Bly trade offered
springs for picks, and then using those picks for bly, okoye, an OL, and possibly a 2nd DL guy would make a good offseason great.
I don't want to see a pick on high risk/reward gambles such as adams (tiny) or branch (lazy, no good on pass rush), when you can get smart guys that can still start and have more upside like okoye or carriker. i still haven't found good tape on anderson, so while his stats and measureables look nice, there's not a long track record or film i can really judge him on :/. |

He was on the John Thompson show on Monday and said that it was up to the team whether he was back next year. He is training in Arizona right now as if he were going to be here next year. |
Re: Springs for Bly trade offered
ok i am about to get my first authentic jersey who should i get sean taylor, santana moss, clinton portis, or chris cooley
and i think we should get bly some of the best hands in the nfl as far as corners |
i am not big on bly, but would trade betts for him in a heartbeat
No freakin way! Trading for a corner that's in his 30's with a bad attitude makes no sense. Betts is a young promising back who's a team player. Plus we need the quality depth behind CP. |
Re: Springs for Bly trade offered
Adam Schefter just reported on NFL Total Access that the Skins offered to trade Springs to Denver for Bly, but Denver said they wanted Betts, and we turned it down. Thank GOD!!!!
Please Skins - THINK!!! We have spent too many years buying too many no good "think they are too good" losers! Please keep the core guys!!!! FOR ONCE! |

To Core guys. |
Re: Springs for Bly trade offered
heres where i agree with people, keeping the core guys. however, i love betts as much as anyone, but i would 100 percent trade him for two picks or dre bly. i wouldnt trade betts and springs, just betts. here is my reasoning, RB are a dime a dozen, you can get a capable running back in almost any round of the draft. as key as the running back position is in football it also the easiest to find a player at. betts would be easily replaced talent wise. to trade betts for a top 5 maybe top 10 corner is a no brainer. corner is the hardest position to find in profootball. if you put springs and bly at corner, you give your defense an extremely large advantage at dictating the game. rodgers is a bust in my mind because he doesnt know how to play corner...hence hes always ten yards off the ball like a scared dog. but throw smoot in to be a backup and third corner, now you really can do some stuff up front to open up the pass rush and bring one of you safeties in the box more to help the run. betts for bly makes too much sense if you ask me.

Re: Springs for Bly trade offered
I only have one question...why are we so interested in dre bly? The way i see it he only wants to come here for that big payday that we are known to provide.
