Re: Cuts that were made tonight....
I know I will be in the minority here, but I actually feel sorry for Pinkston. I always kind of feel bad for former high picks who fall from grace. It's got to be tough to go from a 2nd rounder, to being cut, to working out while no team wants to sign you, to being unable to even hit the field in two preseason games with us.

I don't know if "sorry" is the right word, but I do think it can't be easy for any of these guys to be the best on their teams all their lives to then find themselves fighting for their jobs in front of millions. |
I hear Pinkston really struggled to learn the offense here. They threw him a copy the playbook...and he ran away from it
Doug Gabriel would be a nice addition here and would seriously challenge Thrash for that 4th spot. |

Doesn't Gabriel have all sorts of attitude problems? Also... it's troubling that he couldn't make the Raiders... |

If a player doesn't make the team, how much of that $595k are they entitled to? |

Only the bonus is guaranteed. I'm sure he picked up some paychecks during camp but that's about it. |
Re: Cuts that were made tonight....
Amazing that the Redskins spent three years trying to draft sign Butler only to cut him before he even took one regular season snap.
And now does this mean Corey Bradford is going to be the #5 WR, or will it be McAddley who's currently listed 5th on the depth chart? If it's neither, then I think the Redskins should seriously consider signing Doug Gabriel (who was just waived by the Raiders). He's big, athletic, young. I think he could make a nice addition to the team.
gabriel is very talented, but i think i read somewhere, where he has some attitude issues. lord knows if they caused problems in oakland how bad they must be |

Glad the rumored Lance Briggs acquisition never came to fruition:

Re: Cuts that were made tonight....
Well that makes me happier than ever we didn't trade for him. Another example of how athletes think they are above the law and in a way "godlike".
