I guess you are referring to my "less than enamored with our D" comment as being never happy.

The truth is our defense is good but it has some obvious weaknesses that can be exploited by playoff teams such as the Giants and the Pats.
You recall, the swiss cheese in that game don't you?
To me...the game against the pats was just more of the same....good execution with the skins hoping for offensive mistakes to force a punt.
Well, that is good enough to stop half the teams the majority of drives, but to beat a good offense that doesn't make stupid mistakes, you need to shake things up.

All of us as fans knew this going into the Pats game.
Our defense would need to do some things differently (as well as our offense)
Neither happened....and that is my major concern if we want to be a playoff team.

No adjustments.

Well, I never said I wasn't happy with the defense this year, what I said was that I would like to see SOME blitzing, especially against Clemens, who is not a rookie as I thought but an inexperienced 2nd year player. So, to clarify for "some people" Im happy with the D, I would just like to see the blitz occasionnally, especially this week.

Im talking strictly this season. Last year was a completely different story.
How many games have we played zone this season? I think every one of them. How many times have you seen a corner or LB blitz? I think none.

That pervent D will work against unexperienced QBs but with QBs like Brady and P. Manning that stuff is not going to work. You have to hit those guys in the mouth and keep doing it all day.

Right, and the reason is because of what happened last year. That's why GW changed up his D.

I agree thats why the D is different. Im saying, like I did in my first post (2nd in the thread) that GW doesn't blitz because of the way the D is set up this season.
