Not to defend Sally Jenkins, but this was no worst than what some people were saying here (including myself). Although then again we are just yahoo fans, whereas she's a writer for a national newspaper.

I don't get the rude thing? If you were hanging out some dirty laundry,such as Paris Hiltons' tape, that might be different. This was pretty sedate stuff (that unless she's an idiot) that she knew would be, as ALL email, have the potential to be shared.

We can talk all the trash we want -- we're just fans.

I've been humble for so long, with such disappointing teams in the past, I'm enjoying the opportunity to actually feel good about the Skins, and express that vocally. There's nothing wrong with that.

As for being rude, I have no idea where you're coming from. SJ trashes the Skins all the time, and now she's nowhere to be found for the last 4 weeks. Nobody has a right to call her out on that, or it's rude to do so? I disagree.

Also, I call bullshit on her "busy" schedule which doesn't allow enough time to write about the Skins. She obviously had enough time to write the article after week 1. The bottom line is that she likes to criticize the team, and doesn't like to praise them. God forbid anyone criticize her for that! :doh:

Rude?....Yes, simply calling her a bitch is probably rude but she is a sports commentator or so she presents herself if she is writing articles about the Skins and if she is then I would like to think she should be [B]objective[/B] about her reporting not one sided. So what if some people are calling her out. We have not heard from her since what week 1 and she is always trashing the Skins so ....where the hell is she with her [B]objectiveness[/B]?

yeah I don't get this we need to be humble BS. We're not the players... if they were talking mad trash I can see having a problem with that. But what's the harm in bragging on your 4-1 team??

It seems like Sally has written less about the Skins in general recently (although I don't regularly check her column so I might be wrong about that). If the team winning keeps her out of my life - like garlic to Dracula - that is enough for me.

Besides, JLC has replaced her as number one on my hit list. He's taken it to levels in that blog of his that Sally could only dream about as a columnist.
