What you say is true, it can happen to anybody. But....
Shockey is a professional athelete, and if ANYONE can identify the early signs of dehydration, it is an athete.

I think the Press release was [I]carefully[/I] worded to avoid any public embarassment.

Yes I do believe he was dehydrated, but I believe he was probably "engaged in the partaking of adult beverages". I am not athelete, but even I know that alcohol in your system speeds up and enhances dehydration.

Lets do some math...1.In Vegas...2. At a party in Vegas...3. Shockey is an admitted party hound. 3. Its really hot in Vegas this time of year.

You cannot convince me that a person that is next to a swimming pool is going to get dehydrated while they are sober.

He had a few too many and passed out from dehydration. SO yeah you are right, it can happen to anybody.

I don't wish anyone to be hurt or hospitalized but big of a faggot is jeremy?? He is cocky as shit and he sucks I hate this guy and he would be the only tool to get dehydrated at a pool party

I realize he was probably drinking, but what I'm saying is who cares. He's over 21, its the offseason, he wasn't driving, and as far as we know he wasn't doing anything in the least bit reckless. It's like Matt Leinart beer bonging with a bunch of girls in a hot tub, he's doing it on his own time so I really don't care.

Also as far as I know, Shockey has been pretty well behaved (please correct me if I missed something) since he's been with the Saints.

Why does everyone think I'm slamming him? I don't like the guy, sure. Read my posts. I said I have no problem with partying in the offseason.

My point is anyone who thinks his dehydration wasn't alcohol related is just being silly.

There is a show about these pool parties and its none stop drinking from the minute it opens. Its called "Rehab" and the funny thing is I was watching the show this weekend as the rain came down. It seems on every show they have an issue with someone drinking too much or becoming dehydrated and they cart them out.

Rosenhaus, being the stand up guy he is, doesn't think Shockey was drinking. Becuase guys that typically have 2-3 beer lunches don't ever drink at poolside parties in Vegas named "Rehab." :doh:

By the way...at the party Rehab...they have paramedics standing by for the people who get "dehydrated". I've never been to a party where paramedics are brought in to stand-by. I need to find one of these parties before I get too old to enjoy it.

That's awesome. Glad he's okay, but that party he was at is no joke. My wife was watching a show about it a while back. It's like 2-3,000 people, almost looked like something out of a movie. No fat chicks, enough ladies to go around, and plenty of booze. They were saying the waitresses there make almost 2 G's a day just off tips. BALLIN!!!!.....Oh yeah, and the water is free.
