How come Orakpo looks like a man among boys even when coming out of high school??
He was 12 years old when he was born.

What jumped out at me about these were:
1) Bradford, a 4.28 gpa in high school!
2) Suh only benched 300. He must've reallly gotten stronger, or else his comination of quickness & strength makes him seem like he's twice as strong as so many o linemen. 300 lbs. isn't that much relatively. D. Thomas' bench was listed at 365 I think.

I don't get too caught up in the rankings, but I'll give credit to the scouts. I think overall you can look at all these guys and say that they were noticed early on, all got scholarships, all will play in the nfl. Generally kids that are ranked high as prospects fare well if they don't have personal problems or injuries. There are kids that fly under the radar that become starts, but they're the exception.

Actually that pic is a little misleading given that it's a close up. I mean 220 pounds for a high schooler is pretty big but before he looked like this

He was this,

Bench only means so much. You really want to know how strong a football player is look at his squat max. 425 pounds coming out of high school. Also keep in mind that in his profile Devin is a JuCo transfer so he has about two years on Suh. Still even then 300 pound bench is a lot for a high school prospect.

He would be an amazing 4th or 5th round pick but recently scouts Inc bumped him up to a second round prospect. Personally from what I've seen written about him he's worth it, but only if most of the tackle prospects are gone. Still I would take him over Capers. I also think at this point I would take DuCasse over Capers but at the same time if I could take two tackles Capers would be he second one I would take due to his experience as a blind side RT.
They say that all offensive linemen need is brute strength, I mean when most people think about a group of young men that are on average over 300-pounds one doesn't necessarily automatically think of 'physical fitness'. It would seem that Oklahoma strength and conditioning coach Jerry Schmidt sees things a little differently at least if Longview, Texas offensive lineman Trent Williams is a proper indication.
