Are they charging extra for people to go see it? Am I missing something here?
Ummmm... Yeah, they are actually. Mr. Irrelevant, a D.C. Sports Blog by the Brothers Mottram |
Re: Redskins Blog: Sean Taylor's Locker To Be Moved To FedExField (Club level)
I think that is in poor taste. Why don't they leave the locker at Skins' park and if they need the space just move it somewhere within the building. They do not need to parade this around FedEx.

Not sure how much good it will do but I feel compelled to write the organization about this. I wonder if they approached his family about this?

Mr. Irrelevant, a D.C. Sports Blog by the Brothers Mottram
I don't see where it says people will be charged extra to see the locker. The Redskins have done and continue to do so much for Taylor's family. It will be a shame if that's all forgotten because of this |
Re: Redskins Blog: Sean Taylor's Locker To Be Moved To FedExField (Club level)
while i somewhat understand putting it on the club level to reduce traffic i think it should remain where it belongs in the locker room. if the want a tribute to sean at fedex they should create a new one there, with game woirn jerseys, and other gear, photos and quotes from fans broadcasters and fellow players. i really don't think this is an attemp to drum up money by placing it on the club level, but i do think moving the locker is a bit much.
and i don't think anyone will forget what the redskins have done and continue to do for his family, that is one thing snyder has handeled very well over the past few years imo, i'm just not a fan of this move |
Re: Redskins Blog: Sean Taylor's Locker To Be Moved To FedExField (Club level)
I think that, even thought they won't publicly say it, the players were ready for the locker to be moved out of the locker room. After a while, it's just too much to handle to see that everyday I'm sure.

Re: Redskins Blog: Sean Taylor's Locker To Be Moved To FedExField (Club level)
yeah i hear you but i just tyhink it should stay there doesn't have to be in the locker room but some where at the park, i just don't think it needs to be placed at fedex, i don't know why it just doesn't seem like it belongs there

The Redskins have done and continue to do so much for Taylor's family. It will be a shame if that's all forgotten because of this
If you have "cheap" seats during a game and you want to see the locker, you would have to upgrade "charged extra" to club seats in order to do that. I'm not at all denying what the Skins have done for the Taylor's. I'm just saying that the majority of the fans wont have full access to the locker without paying to see it. |

True. Plus we are trying to instill an "it's a new era" locker room culture. |

Well, there are vacancies at the club level. Premium Seat Sales department at clubinfo@redskins.com 301-276-6800 Call and see for yourself. He handled the Taylors the way the fans and the players demanded. I don't doubt the players want the locker out of the locker room. I would too. Its not the way to move on. But DS is a business man. Club level priveledges include: great veiw of game, suites, martini bar, Blody Mary Bar, Cigar bar, lots of comps, Pre-game shows, NFL highlights and early or late games on one of many flat screen TVs. Internet Cafes, Guests with a ticket for the Club Level, Field Club, Loge, Suites, or Owner’s Club may enjoy the Club Level amenities at any time during the event. And now the addition of... Taylor's locker. End of story! |
Re: Redskins Blog: Sean Taylor's Locker To Be Moved To FedExField (Club level)
Ok, well we're just not going to agree at all on this then. Club level priviliges isn't something that Snyder invented. It's common throughout the NFL, throughout all sports in fact. People that pay for those level of seats are going to get more amenities. It's like flying First Class.
But it's not like they're parading his locker around on a world tour and saying "Come see Sean Taylor's locker for only $25!" Anyway, let's just agree to disagree here. |

I guess it wouldn't be the Redskins if there wasn't something to bitch about in regard to Snyder.
