Re: Michael Wilbon Leaving WaPo
Wilbon is great because he's completely honest... i respect him more than any other columnist, personality, etc... whatever you want to call him. PTI is a daily DVR ritual for me...

Re: Michael Wilbon Leaving WaPo
Honestly I respect Wilbon and wish him the best of luck at ESPN, but my everlasting memory (albeit limited memory, as I'm relatively young and have only read his articles for the past 5-6 years) of his time at the Post will be the article he wrote after Sean Taylor's death, which I highly disliked. I felt like he wrote that article based off assumptions, and it was just taking the easy way out and writing a cheap piece of journalism.
He's always been a plus-minus writer with me, occasionally I read something by him that I like, and occasionally I read something that he wrote that just stinks of cheap journalism. In the end I wish him the best at ESPN, but I won't be too upset that he's not at the Post anymore. I'd be a hell of a lot more upset if someone like Dan Steinberg left the Post, I love reading the Sports Bog because it gives me a better connection with the local DC athletes from my favorite sports teams. |
