McCarthy did an incredible job with a TON of key injuries in vital positions. Yes, he has Aaron Rodgers, but with the number of major losses his roster sustained and the team's ability to win big games...that shows that the coach is their key to success. He's the defending champ, and right now he looks like he belongs on top to me.

Belichick is becoming the king of the regular season. Great resume, but what has he done lately? I almost moved Tomlin ahead of him too.

Coughlin got downgraded because every year since they've won the SB, he loses his locker room and they go on a late-season slump that screws them out of the postseason.

Shanahan showed a lot of coaching talent late last season with how many young, unknown players he was able to not only spot, but motivate to step up. Anthony Bryant, Macho Harris...even Anthony Armstrong and Ryan Torain. The Skins won some big games over the SB champ Packers, Dallas (at the time it was a big win), Philly, Chicago, Jacksonville...all in a rebuilding year with uncertainty at QB, during a transition from 4-3 to 3-4...and with an offensive line that could not be repaired in one offseason. He turned around the team's attitude and has started what is going to be a successful rebuilding of a franchise. The team scored 36 more points in 2010 than 2009, scoring 17 or more points in 9 games, even topping 30 a couple of times. We have not seen scores like that for years. He did a lot of good work, but there's more to be done. However, he's proven that he can still coach. Once he finishes getting the players he needs, this team will be tough to beat.

He's a good manager of chaos and bad personalities....probably because those are qualities he possesses himself.

If we're talking overall body of work, I don't know how Raheem Morris after one year makes it over guys like John Fox or even Dennis Erickson

IMHO....he did a better job, I like Fox but I just never thought of him as a "good Head coach" as for Erickson ....was a better college coach then in the NFL........again just an opnion.I also thought we were talking about coachs ....still in the NFL with their teams ...Fox hasn't coached a game yet in Denver.
