He should have wrote embedded link. Anyhow great video/story. A must watch. Last year in my son's pre-school they had a father's day "night". All the dads came in to celebrate father's day and their childern hade made stuff for them and waht not. One girl's dad had died he was a fireman. She brought her grandfather and told everyone this is my dad's dad so he counts. IT really touched me when she said that; I could never imgaine my life without my dad. |

Both my parents lost their fathers when they were young so it's something that's always scared me. But on a MUCH lighter note - good news, in just a few weeks my Dad and I will be attending our 10th National's home opener. We've been to every one since the team moved to DC in '05, so this has been the one that I've been looking forward to the most since the opened the new ballpark. |
Re: The Good News Thread
That's awesome that you and your Dad have that annual tradition.
I try to do things like that with my son, much younger. We go do things he likes, Monster Truck shows and I take him to the free workshops at Lowe's to build things out of wood...anything to make some memories for both of us. You never know when you could do and I'm heading in for a major surgery in a few weeks, so you have to make the most of your time while you have it. |

Re: The Good News Thread
Finally got one of the techs to stop annoying me at work on Saturday! I sprayed this horrible spray that smells like week old diarrhea in his bay on Saturday, and ever since he hasn't said anything to me. He'd been annoying me for a month straight, and it got old pretty fast.
