Re: NFC East Champs
Hey, we won the NFC east with a poor offense and a good defense. Most of us thought that would be the mix, and many thought we'd be 6-10 or so (with haskins)
Turns out were 7-9. The difference? We swept Dallas! Woot! Playoffs suckas! |
Re: NFC East Champs
Great Win!
Why Sims JR is STILL back returning punts blows my mind. |

NFC East Champs
It’s more about the culture change folks, nobody saw this coming. Started 1-5 , Haskins benched , cut from the team. Smith comes in to save the season, yeah he Isn’t great but you can’t knock his heart and honestly he’s a winner. 5-1 this season. He was 6-2 when he went down against Houston. Wins don’t lie. I’m just glad the young stars get to taste what the playoffs are like, that’s a huge momentum builder for next year.

Re: NFC East Champs
Nobody and i mean nobody is going to give us a chance next week, but I like our chances.

Re: NFC East Champs
Btw, Alex Smith has all the intangibles, drawing them offsides on 4th down says it all. His performance is always in question, but what oyher QB for washington over the last 20 years has a winning record? I dont know how he does it. He just makes everyone else better. Sometimes on defense too I guess.

Re: NFC East Champs
Ya know what may be smart? Start Smith, with the full intention of playing Heinecke after the first drive. It will totally screw up TB defensive game plan.
I am a football fan first, and a Washington football fan second (and always). I think the fact that the Eagles went to their backup quarterback when they were still in the game was BS. As a Washington fan I am happy that they are in the playoffs, but as a football fan I am not happy about how they got there.
What about the Steelers? How is that any different. Happens every year. Teams that have nothing to play for the last week rest a lot of starting players. Every year. Eagles have no obligation to do what the Giants' fans want them to do. Pederson said pregame that he would probably bring Suds in the game in the 4th quarter. Crybaby fans of the great 6-10 Giants just need to shut up. They should be embarrassed. |

Re: NFC East Champs
I'm wondering if there is anyone we can bring back from long term IR for the playoffs?

Re: NFC East Champs
This comment by Sweat says it all:
Montez Sweat, asked about going from facing Hurts to Sudfeld, says, "No comment." Then asked about the differences he says: "Jalen's a dynamic guy, but I feel we would have finished the job with either one." |
Re: NFC East Champs
Congrats to WFT for winning the division! Sure it wasn't pretty but it's still a great accomplishment.
Hosting Tampa and Brady will be cool and beneficial long term for this team. Love, love Chase Young. Guy is so inspiring. Congrats to Alex Smith! Your courage is admirable. Hard not to cheer for this group. Go WFT! |
