What? We been calling for Hopkins head for at least 2 years,Hopkins should have been cut,the mistake was bringing in Blewitt.Yeah he kicked game winning fg,big whoop,it was a chip shot and he missed another extra point
True, the mistake was cutting hopkins mid season. Should done it in the off season and found a viable replacement. I this point Hopkins> Blewitt Slye |

Re: Blewitt out, Slye in
Agree with some others. It was the timing of Hopkins cut.
Should have been done in the off season when there is plenty of time to find a better option… Kicker has almost become like quarterback here. Where are Cousins and Gano when ya need em? |
The revisionist history going on with Hopkins is pretty funny. Fans have been calling for his head for years now. He finally gets cut and people act shocked. Please.
It's unfortunate they brought in, possibly, the WORST replacement for hopkins that they could have. Blewitt had no business being the answer. But it doesnt change the fact that hopkins had to go. Just because ted bundy has a higher body count than ed gein doesnt make gein a good dude. hes still horrific....just not as terribly horrific as the former. |
Re: Blewitt out, Slye in
Hope we remember just how hard it can be to find a good kicker. Before Hopkins we had a pretty steady rotation of guys in and out of here. Hopkins wasn't great, but history shows you can do a lot worse.

Re: Blewitt out, Slye in
Apparently its easier to find a serial killer than a good kicker?

Depends on if you mean the calculated type, or the ones who just wanna pop a boner when they drive by certain spots off the highway. |

You're talking about kickers right? |

100%, kinda. |
Re: Blewitt out, Slye in
+1 for not having any kicks blocked
|
Re: Blewitt out, Slye in
So Slye ..... short kick offs.
Apke might have to earn a pay check now. |

Re: Blewitt out, Slye in
Way stepped in on KO before when our K wasn't good to go. Can't remember if he got good length on his kicks?
