It's not splitting hairs. He did NOT plead no contest to aggravated assault, the very serious charge that might have landed him in jail for 46 years. The country [B][U]dropped[/U][/B] those serious charges in exchange for a no contest to a piddly misdemeanor. That's the point. Tells me there was nothing to the felony charge. Dade county coulda/shoulda cited him for battery from the git, then done something about the grand theft of his ATVs. |

I don't think it means there was "nothing" to the charges, I think they were dealing with thugs on all sides and the State agreed to the misd. rather than risking out right acquittal at trial. Im as big an ST fan as the next guy, but the kid has some issues. |
