Too bad we're not in the NFC West....

If the playoffs started today, only one of these 7-4 teams: Giants, Green Bay or Tampa Bay would be in the playoffs as a wildcard (the other wildcard would be 8-3 New Orleans) and the other two 7-4 teams would be out of it. Meanwhile the NFC West Division winner would be St. Louis with their 5-6 record. I think we may see this year a sub .500 team in the playoffs coming out of the NFC West.
And yet...we're 0-1 against the West this year, and it wasn't close

Westbrook sure looked good last night.

Rams will win the west at 7-9 Book it. Which is a damn joke that they will make the playoffs over a 9-7 Bucs team

This could be good for B. Westbrook. He looked great last night and might play himself into a job for another team in 2011. If there is a season that year lol.

If only we could have signed him instead of LJ and Willie Parker.

Only problem is I don't remember the last time I saw our OL opening holes like BW was running through last night.

Plenty of horrible teams in Yahoo's simulation. St. louis wins the dvision at 7-9, AFC South is horrible with all 4 teams at .500 and below...

Texans also go in at 8-8 going by this thing....i made it randomly predict winners.... judge for yourselves.

According to that, if we win 4 more games, we're in.

Hey, we've done that before...no big deal.

I'm starting to think STL isn't as bad as we think they are. They've beaten us twice is the last few years so that says something about us. Also Bradford is going to be a star. Can anyone name his wr's? Hands down rookie of the year. Plus Chris Long and Larranitus (sp) are playing well. Jackson is a stud at RB. This team is only going to get better.

Re: Around the NFL (week 12)

I think if a 7-9 Rams team makes the playoffs over a Bucs/Packers/Bears/Saints team that has at the minimum a winning record, the NFL might need to consider rethinking the playoff format so that teams with winning records would make it over teams that win their division but have a losing record. It's not fair that a 10-6 or 11-5 team doesn't make the playoffs because their division is stacked while a potentially 7-9 or 8-8 team makes the playoffs simply by virtue of being the least-worse team in it's own division.

Now the Rams are obviously an up and coming team, but if they finish 7-9 I don't think they would deserve the playoffs over a 10-6 team coming out of the NFC South or North.
I can't believe that game won't be televised. Why hasn't Monday night FB taken on the position of a flexible schedule to eliminate a crappy matchup of less than .500 teams like the 49ers and cardinals?
ESPN - - and ABC before them - - tried to get a form of flex scheduling for MNF and the league resisted. Their position was that changing the time of a game on a given day might be an inconvenience for fans who had tix, but changing the day of the game would be more than an inconvenience and the league did not want to alienate fans.

I'm not saying the league is completely right in their stance here, but they do have a point.

In any event, flex scheduling remains with the times of Sunday games and nothing else - - - unless of course it becomes economically lucrative for the league to change its mind during the next round of TV negotiations...

Wow. I remember Ramsey about 7 or 8 years ago when he was a young stud with a cannon for an arm. Maybe we can get him here for vet minimum to provide depth?

Whaddaya think?

Here's the scenario in which the Redskins win the division...this is sort of like the NBA trade machine on ESPN.

I took this and changed week 15 to Philly beating the Giants. We still make it in, as the 6th seed and our first playoff game is against the iggles. Now that would be interesting.

^ I'd prefer not to see that.

I like the Packers matchup better...we're undefeated against teams with yellow helmets this season. :)

I can see us finishing 9-7 but I would almost guarantee Philly would have 10 wins
