Re: Wizards
Man, that stare down by wall after the steal and the dunk...this team is electric
|
Re: Wizards
The Wiz are really a fun team to watch. It's good to see Verizon Center finally wake up and come a home court advantage.
Sucks about Chenier. Met him several years ago and he is nothing but a class act. |
Re: Wizards
man, needed that last night. I wish Oubre woulda knock that dirty mutherf*cker out too...cheap shot by a flat out bitch.
has anybody been following these pieces of shit out of UCLA? The Ball brothers stuff. I don't know who would buy this garbage, but a coworker forwarded me their shoes and they haven't played in the NBA yet...but have a shoe deal? : https://bigballerbrand.com/products/video-feet-1 $995 for a pair of shoes? autographed? |
Re: Wizards
Lol as far as I'm concerned the Ball father has destroyed his son's credibility. If those shoes become popular this will become a thing for every top star coming out of college. The concept that a pair of shoes for a rookie who has never played at the top level is worth more than a pair of Jordan's/Kobe's/etc. is laughable.
Also the best joke I heard about this basically said nobody will buy them cuz the brand name is terrible. Nobody's going to talk about Ball's the way they talk about Jordan's/etc. "Hey man check out this sweet new pair of Balls that I got" lol. Glad the Wiz finally took a game last night. I turned it on the second quarter and watched the rest of the laugher. I'm glad they finally kept up the momentum and never stopped hustling. I like what Oubre did to Olenyk, standing up for himself, but it's also playing into his hand at the same time. We need him on the bench, hope his suspension is short. |

Re: Wizards
What a 3rd quarter tonight! Damn!
|
Re: Wizards
Was watching them straight curb stomp them. The way Thomas was shooting in the first, I thought no way in hell he doesn't score 50.

Yup! I hope the Caps can capture some of the Wiz energy tonight. Im hoping Caps can serve Pittsburgh some chin nuts and bring game 7 back home! |
Re: Wizards
On one hand I want to watch the game, knowing it might be the Caps last game of the season (hopefully not). On the other hand, literally the only time we win games in the playoffs (Wizards/Caps) is when I don't watch. Last weekend, I was in FL, I got to my rental room outside Orlando and turned on the Caps game to watch the last 10 minutes of the third. The Pens scored 2 goals with the empty net to tie the game and force OT. I go to the bathroom to get ready for bed and we scored the OT game winner. Then 2 days ago I turned the game on in the 2nd, the Caps promptly gave up a PP goal to go down 2-1. I change the channel and they scored 3 consecutive goals to take the game.
I'm not typically a superstitious person but this streak of me watching games and the DC team losing has been ongoing for a bit now. I turned on game 2 between Wiz/Celts and the Wiz promptly blew their 4th q lead and lost in OT. That was the last game I've watched to completion (not including Nats, which I typically keep on in the background). |
Re: Wizards
I can't lie and say I'm big into hockey, but I DO always pull for the DC sports teams. Around playoff time, I do pay a lot more attention than usual and I just cannot fucking stand the Pens or their fans.

That's pretty funny about the 3rd quarter...Ill never forget the feeling of dumpster fire when I witnessed that...complete shit show MLC, I usually will watch a couple Caps games during the season...but playoff hockey is on another level. |
Re: Wizards
I didn't watch the game last night until I got home around 9. Turned the tv on, 3 min left in the 3rd, Caps up 5-1, promptly give up a goal to Malkin. The streak continues lol. I didn't change the channel because even the Caps can't blow a 3 goal lead with 2 min left Really debating hard whether to watch game 7, this is the toughest decision I've had to make so far this year. Not normally this superstitious but a streak this long is tough to ignore. I'm definitely gonna watch game 5 of Wiz-Celts though, I think the Wiz have figured out how to shut down the Celtics, and it starts with Isaiah Thomas.

Mooby, mix in a movie tonight

Re: Wizards
I WILL also watch this game solely on my iPad. Every time I've watched it on there they've won.
:D |

You and me both. The alco-shits I'm having this morning are just another painful reminder of how much dc sports lets me down. For the record I went to my friend's house and sat in the living room reading a book while they watched the game. I watched the last 5 of the 3rd, too little too late it seems. I think the Caps window is shut now. |
Re: Wizards
Wiz came out on the floor not ready to play at all last night. didn't even attempt to play defense
|
Re: Wizards
I EVEN WATCHED IT ON THE IPAD!
Jeezus, it was rough from the beginning. Also, can we make some fucking threes?! Even their big men are making threes. |
Re: Wizards
I am Celtics fan. I am fairly positive there will be a game 7. Regardless who wins this series if the winner pushes CLE to five games it be a miracle.
|
Re: Wizards
Fuck yeah...missed the game last night but just saw the replay. Fuck yes
|
Re: Wizards
I watched the last 10 minutes. Was gettin' concerned when we were down by 7 with under 5 to go but they pulled it together and got it done. Clutch 3 by Wall by at the end, been a while since I've seen a DC team do something that clutch with the season on the line.

Re: Wizards
Wearing my Wizards gear today. I wish I had a good feeling about this game tonight but I don't. The Celtics are just a different team when they're in their building.

Im effing excited...I think that game winning shot is the type of play that should carry over momentum. I think the biggest thing about tonight game is the beginning...we cannot come out flat and let them get a big lead. Just come out ready to play. |

Re: Wizards
Great series Wizard fans! I think my Celtics get smoked next round but hey we at least get a shot.
Big night for the C's tonight as well! |
Re: Wizards
They at least made it a game. I knew it would be a tall task to do it IN Boston, but at least they didn't embarrass themselves.
|
Re: Wizards
Tough game... 5 points from the bench ain't going to win you many games. C's just a deeper team with the superior coach in game 7. A fun season, nonetheless. Let's see if Grunfeld can build this squad for the next step.

Gotta get a guard for the bench. |

While I am a Mavs fan, constantly watching the Caps, Wiz, and Nats flame out does get annoying. The Wiz have a good young core but they are going to need to get a guard off the bench who can score and a front court player who can guard on the outside, but the Wizards/Celtics matchups are going to be the next East Coast playoff rivalry in the NBA |

Re: Wizards
2018 Wizards update.
Still firmly in the fire Ernie/Brooks/start the rebuild boat, I hadn't watched a game yet this year and felt like I was due, even though the Wizards did their yearly "guys are being selfish" locker room speech in October instead of December this time. Turn on the game vs. the Grizzlies tonight, 7 min left in the 4th quarter. In the span of 3 minutes the Grizzlies went on a 8-0 run to eventually go up by 15, as of now with 1 minute left the Grizzlies are up by 17. Idk why Leonsis is neglecting this team. We are wasting Wall/Beal/Porter as long as Grunfeld is in charge. |
Re: Wizards
Scotty brooks and Ernie need to go.
Dwight Howard was a horrible move. They should have pushed to sign boogie cousins in the offseason. Dumpster fire |

Re: Wizards
Decided to turn on my 2nd game of the year to watch Dwight's debut. Just turned that shit off with 10 minutes left in the 3rd. Wizards down 30, Kelly Oubre literally -29 in 15 minutes. Otto Porter +2, every other Wizards starter is at least -15.
Calling this team dog shit is an insult to dog shit, at least that fertilizes the ground. |
