I envy Denver SOOO much right now. They are just loading up on picks.
Let's see what they do with them |
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
man i wish we could have made a trade for some more picks. this is aggravating to watch knowing we have nothing until saturday morning.
Nobody trades up into the top 5 anymore. It would be nice but isn't realistic. The FO tried to spur interest with the Berry rumors and it didn't work. At least they didn't trip over themselves to make the pick as soon as our name was called and tell the world that "Portis is happy with the pick". We are light years ahead of where we were one year ago. |
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
Is Graham the next Dwight Freeney? This is about where he was picked.

redskinsblog RT @john_keim: Red River shootout in Ashburn. RT @hap_harrington ...imagine that practice UT Orakpo vs. OK Williams |
You are right, I could be the wrong. Here is how I look at it.
- Our coach was a GD effing idiot and we needed an upgrade - Done - Our GM was a GD effing idiot and we needed an upgrade - Done - We had a lot of underperforming overpaid players who needed to go - Done - Stephon Heyer could not be our left tackle and we need a tackle for the future - Done - We needed to upgrade QB - Done - Our RB has been coddled and needed to be pushed - Done Not one of these moves is an Archuletta type move. Every move by every FO is "questionable" but to question every move by two established NFL guys doesn't make sense. If they go 3-13 ok but he hasn't even given them a chance.
I am with you Pocket, just saying don't always say the FO is infallible. Our pick was solid and overall I like what we did, but you have to expect mistakes or some situations not panning out. The best part of this FO, and so far the only real main difference is that they sign the big names for low money, but that is because the FAs in question have been deemed expendable. They have a plan I am sure, but it seems to be predicated on getting more picks trading JC and/or AH. I hope both are dealt with before tomorrow and we get 2-4 picks back. |
Let's see what they do with them
trade them all to us for LaRon and Rocky? |
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
We have nothing to trade.
I know, we got nuthin. This freakin sucks, especially since I'm not ecstatic over the 1 pick in a 100 we got. |
Not quite... Matthews is nasty if you've ever seen Fresno St play. Gerhart is a good player, but Ryan is going to have the better career when all's said and done.
why? gerhart played against two probowl lb's the last two years and played them very well, gerhart is gonna be a damn good rb |
