Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
Our WR core is garbage right now. As far as Im concerned, there is no reason this dude should not make the cut. Armstrong was an UFA and he was probably our best WR last year. If not the best, he was the 2nd best WR.
Totally agree...if we lose Moss then we basically have nobodys for wide recievers. |
Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
So the WR derby will be between
Hankerson - Kelly - Banks - Austin - Paul - Armstrong - |
Anyone else notice we drafted to offensive players from one of the worst college offenses in the country? Lol just saying
Worst? Nebraska 2010 Offensive Stats: RK - TEAM ----- YDS -- YDS/G -PASS - P YDS/G - RUSH - R YDS/G - PTS - PTS/G 29 - Nebraska - 5574 - 398.1 - 2305 - 164.6 ----- 3466 -- 247.6 ---- 432 -- 30.9 |
Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
Mel Kiper showing video of Paul. Thats a good sign.
Thats funny, I was thinking the same thing. I have been aware of Helu, and the kid is good. I must say that I didn't remember the WR Paul.
The analyst say that Nebraska had a garbage QB who struggled getting the WRs the ball. |

You think Mel Kiper might give us an "A" finally and have a man crush for the Skins because of Paul? Doesn't Mel hate the Skins? |
Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
So, who was Nebraska's qb, and do we take him in the 7th?
|
Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
29th isn't that good even though it seems Like it would be

Saw it -- looks like he shows promise as a kick/punt returner. Perhaps a backup to Banks? Or are they seriously hoping for a starter here? Listed at just less than 6'1" and 224 pounds -- kinda beefy for a wideout. |

Doesn't Mel hate the Skins?
I'd be surprised if he did, he was apparently friends with Vinny so if he has hate the Skins lately it's because of him loosing his friend in the front office. |

At the very least he has good physical tools so that makes me feel a little better about the pick but a lot of these guys could easily be cut. |
Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
I hope he beats out Banks.
Banks is so teeny he's a golf cart ride off the field waiting to happen. |

29th out of 120. Thats top 25%. Definitely not the worst as some people suggested. Just trying to see the glass half full. No negative Nancy... |
Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
The overkill strategy has served the Lions well in the past :D
