Matthews has the size, speed and burst through the hole that will translate to the next level. I watched quite a bit of Gerhart and he was excellent in the Pac-10 (saw him torch my Trojans last year), but I don't see him breaking away like he did in college. Dude's definitely a tough kid, but watching Matthews leads me to believe he's got the better upside in the L.

This draft has really spun my world around... but I still like what the Skinnys did, and hopefully we can play ball a lil more in this draft soon enough. SILVERBACK!

I'm putting my trust in Shanny/Allen about TW. However, I think Russell Okung is the better player.

If he shuts down Ware, Cole, Tuck then I'll certainly warm up to the pick.

Hope we get extra picks in the 2nd & 3rd rounds by trading JC, McIntosh (or Big Al if there is a can't miss offer).

he ran a 4.5, matthews had a 4.45 so....

Williams is not the entire line, I would like to see more infusion. Williams was the right step, but we need more I feel.

There's 40 speed times and there's in-game speed with pads on and linebackers breathing down your neck. Matthews is a one-cut runner who is going to do well behind the SD o-line. Gerhart had the best o-line in the Pac-10 and had a tremendous season... but watching the two play extensively, I like Matthews better.
