That was a tough call to make! I don't know if it showed a lack of confidence in the defense to stop Atlanta, or if they truly thought 2nd and 17 was too much for Atlanta to overcome. Obviously it wasn't. The only thing I can attribute to the call was that they felt 7 yards would be a piece of cake for Vick to pick up scrambling.

That's true Matty, although I will say they were doing a pretty good job of stopping Atlanta early on and of course they looked like '04-'05 against Carolina. Who knows...if they had stopped Atlanta on 3rd and 7, it could've been big for us.
