JLC is like a kid who's embarrassed because he got bad grades and now wants to get his teacher in trouble because of it.
yeah I don't get this we need to be humble BS. We're not the players... if they were talking mad trash I can see having a problem with that. But what's the harm in bragging on your 4-1 team??
Agreed Matty. There is passion in my fandom. I cannot, nor do I wish to be silent during this time of Redskin glory. |

I personally don't like to prematurely brag on the Skins outside of our circle of fellow fans, but it's true that we're not the players. We can brag if we want. If the fan's/media's thoughts and opinions trickled down to the team and affected them, then we would be..... The Dallas Cowboys!!! |
Re: Where is Sally Jenkins... here she is
my only question is how the hell someone writes about the redskins while LIVING IN NEW YORK CITY!! and see only seems to write articles (going back YEARS) after losses... never after wins, never saying anything good, always the sky is falling, the franchise is terrible, etc etc.
how the post can possibly feel like publishing her is a good idea is way beyond me. |

Our success should be enough for us, we are acting as if we won the super bowl...it's a long season guys, anything can happen. 4 wins is not enough to be talking the trash we're talking. Stay humble folks.
You must have read her columns on the Skins? Now those are rude. You can be 100% sure any local or national sportswriter that responds to an E-mail knows it could be plastered on the internet the next day. She's made more than a "comment", she's consistently trashed the Skins for several years and most of her columns are based VERY loosely in fact just smart-ass one liners against the organization. We've waited a long time for this type of (what appears to be) consistent success. Everyone who supported what the FO is doing, Zorn, JC, etc. (and backed it up with facts) so far has been right and they have every reason to be happy and talk a little smack. We all know if the Skins were 0-5 or 1-4 the doom-n-gloomers would be bashing the FO, Zorn, JC and asking the rest of us how the "Kool-Aid" tastes and pointing out how wrong we were. |

Sometimes I lose sight of the fact we have a new generation of Redskins fans on this sight that never experienced being a fan of Superbowl champion Redskins team. I see it in the threads that applaud or wish injuries on the opposing teams players. I see it on all the shit trash talk after we win. It is great to be happy about winning. But act like you have been there before. Nothing looks worse than than a classless winner. Leave that shit for losers like Philly that have NEVER won a superbowl. There is nothing more satisfying as a Redskins fan to beat a great team that has all of its players healthy. That way the press or the other team can not make excuses that they would have won if their best players were healthy. |
Re: Where is Sally Jenkins... here she is
I Feel like CP is going to bring out Dr Do Itch Big this week, I would make this a thread, but I do not know how to do it!!!! I can sense the Dr. at Redskins Park!

Stay humble folks.
your joking right? Silly Jenkins is rude for not writing about the Skins doing good so far this season, not that I expected her too. As far as fans being excited and talking a lil trash, THATS WHAT YOU DO WHEN YOUR WINNING! Im not concluding a superbowl victory based on these wins.......yet. Our success is exciting, and we should celebrate it, bottom line. There is no shame in that. We are not just barely winning these games, were winning convincingly. Just looking at the scoreboard you would think the games were closer than they actually were, but their not. I for one am thrilled to death and refuse to bottle that up and be humble. That would be rude. |
Re: Where is Sally Jenkins... here she is
i have taken way too much shit down here as a redskins fan to sit back and be humble.
i'm gonna enjoy this ride from start to finish,if it lasts 5 weeks i'm gonna enjoy it,5 years i,m really, really gonna enjoy it,and if 10 years,i'll enjoy it but it will probably kill me!!!!!! but it would be worth it would'nt it? |
Re: Where is Sally Jenkins... here she is
I lived in Dallas from 1990 until 1999. During that time, I watched the Cowboys dynasty win 3 Superbowls. It sucked. I moved to Tampa, and then I watched the Bucs win a Superbowl. All the while, my Skins were in disarray, with the exception of 1991.
I've had to sit around and watch the fans of other teams enjoy success for too long. Now that I can feel really good about my team, I'm going to exploit this opportunity to the fullest. It has been too long. |
Re: Where is Sally Jenkins... here she is
She is so lame. Had the Skins lost to the Cowboys she would've had her crooked smile next to an article that says something like "The Puppet Couldn't Beat The Cowboys" or some crap like that. Where she would've compared the Skins to the Cowboys, saying that Dan Snyder is a Jerry Jones wantabee but doesn't know ow to select coaches. Now that he looks like he's right she can't say anything.
She would've said that the Skins should've kept Gregg Williams and that Snyder and Vinnys messing the team up because they are abandoning continuity. They would've said how the Skins were blowing this season off only to give Bill Cowher all the money in the world. Except for the face that he wouldn't want to work for Snyder because he tries to run the team. How he meddles too much. And how he was trying to copy the success that yet another high priced star brought in by the Redskins didn't work. How she knew that it would happen, that she predicted it, and how the current demise of the Redskins gave her the strength to get through not being able to gaze at Tom Brady this season. Only to have to resort to fantasies about Tony Romo. It's people like her, Tom Jackson, Chris Carter, Stephen A Smith, Colin Cowherd, Skip Bayless, Michael Strahan, Bob Costas, Michael Wilbon, Al Koken, Brian Mitchell, Peter King, and whordes of other writers and or analysts that have ripped the Skins and enjoyed in their fall from grace. Hey I really have to ask a question. Why does Tom Jackson hate the Skins so much ? Not trying to hijack the thread because this is about a hater amongst all haters. Sally Jenkins. Come on and get this crow honey, and wash it down with a nice cool glass of lemonade. Then for desert go on and grab a Smack Energy Bar ! Hail To The Redskins !!! |
