These QBs are system guys on NCAA powerhouse squads. They are mostly built on hype, as they are surrounded with loads of talent. SHoot it would be hard for Teebow not to look great when your team is averaging over 300 yards rushing a game. That is one helluva line in Gainsesville, same with Bradford in Norman. Do you really want to draft a guy with a bum shoulder anyway? As for Clausen and Notre Dame? I wouldn't touch a ND QB for the life of me. They play a couple decent teams a year and that is it. Not saying ND stinks, but they would be a 4-6 loss team if they were in the SEC, PAC 10, or Big 12. [B]The guys you draft are like the Bradys, McNabbs, Flaccos, and Ryans. Wasn't Joey T a ND QB? |
Re: Texas vs. Oklahoma: Scouting our next QB?
I dont like either of these guys. Get a OT, we will be in the top 5 picks so he should be a beast.
Wasn't Joey T a ND QB?
Joey T was a ND QB when ND was a true powerhouse. After they canned Devine as HC they went downhill. Lou Holtz brought them back, but the idiots canned him also and it has really been downhill ever since. The teams ND played perenially like Michigan, Mich St, Pittsburgh, the academies were all strong or respectable opponents back then. Now that group is not so hot. Weiss is a decent coach, but playing shitty opponents doesn't impress me. The Big Ten is weak this year. Iowa and Penn State are the front runners now. MIch and OSU are flawed and would be 4-6 loss teams in the SEC or Big 12. |
Re: Texas vs. Oklahoma: Scouting our next QB?
Both of those jokers were terrible. We need a tackle not a crapshoot.
|
Re: Texas vs. Oklahoma: Scouting our next QB?
WE need a young and healthy O line damn it!!!!!!! Bradford has bust written all over him. McCoy might be servicable, but he will be like his predecessor, an over hyped bust.

Re: Texas vs. Oklahoma: Scouting our next QB?
I say we load up on O lineman this year, then Ryan Mallett next year, we will probably be back at the top of the draft again in 2011 anyway..Cause this mess is not going to be an easy fix.

Got room for one more? :woot: Russell Okung of Oklahoma State would be a good place to start. |
Re: Texas vs. Oklahoma: Scouting our next QB?
He is not an NFL qb.
I've come to that realization myself. I thought he was the answer, but he's not, neither is Tebow. I say we sign Kevin Kolb, or David Carr. |
