How about 2 DTs/NTs to play the guards and centers, with 4 OLBs (2 on each side) with Fletcher in the middle to get in on every tackle until he's 43 yrs old?

Skins are actually planning to implement some 4-2-5 defensive schemes. I think maybe Texas A&M or TCU runs it?

Given the overwhelming number of defensive linemen and defensive backs, compared to what we have at LB, this actually would seem to suit us - much more than the 3-4 would. I say:

60% - 4-3
20% - 4-2-5
10% - 3-4
10% - everything else

Rocky has Marcus Washington disease and that is why he is not attending.

(for those that don't know of this medical disease, it afflects the mental area of linebackers and allows one to believe that he is really Laurence Taylor, even when he is not capable of generating sacks or making a pro bowl)

Do you really think we'll trade Rocky? I would relish the opportunity to get back that 2nd rounder any way we can. We need DP's in the worst way.

I believe that only Fletch, Mac, and Henson are inside linebackers, everyone else mentioned is an OLB or DE. Inside backer, especially with a switch to the 3-4 is a [U]Major[/U] [U]Need[/U] in my opinion. I don't see Fletch on the team next year, and he may not be effective in a 3-4 this year. Losing Rocky only compounds the weakness, and without Haynesworth also, our running D could be a sieve.

I personally don't like Spikes at all, he is a 1 down player and special teamer with his lack of speed. In my opinion, [B]Jamar Chaney[/B]-[I]Miss. St[/I], [B]Daryll Sharpton[/B]-[I]Mia U[/I], [B]Donald Butler[/B]-[I]Wash[/I], would fit our scheme as 3 down players, and should be available in the 4th-5th rounds.
