Last season??? I don't remember this thing called last season. I remember a recurring nightmare where we could not score, but then I woke up in Jan and Shanahan is our coach, so I know it must not have been real.

Yup and we know how that turned out.

That's why analyzing the schedule now is so pointless. Hell you really don't know what team you're getting a lot of times until you actually play them. An "easy" game now could easily be a hot team when you play them.
Its because you pussy foot around and let them think that its Ok to plan stuff durn the game. Its so easy to tell them just pull up the skins schedule and you can plan things around that. The last thing that my family planned durn a Skins game was my grandfathers funeral which of course that a different story. So if they are smart they will use the weekends of primetime games and the bye weekend to plan family events. Its not that hard and if someone tries to plan something I tell them I have obligations that day and I've had them planned for 5 months.

I actually pissed off my mother and father in law once because they came over unannounced and got offended because I was in the middle of watching a football game. When I approached him latter he said they felt like I ignored them so I responded like this. Sorry if you felt that way but next time I will cut off the game after I have been watching it for 2 1/2 hours so we can chat. He then realized how stupid he sounded.
I hear you but it always baptisms that get me and I am generally always the god parent it is annoying but an honor. I talked with my sister and it looks like she is planning to do it end of August, phew!

I love the Skins but family takes priority over everything.

Agreed but I just pray she doesn't book it on 10/3, my brother in law's family is from Philly so everyone is going to want to see that game, badly.

As a season ticket holder living in NJ this schedule could not be any worse for me. Obviously being 4 hours away I have to pick and choose which night games i can attend. When i looked at the 2010 matchups the 3 games that I said I will never miss were the home opener obviously, Philly and Indy since I like Manning and he may never play in DC again. As bad luck would have it all 3 are night games. Now were talking vacation days...driving home in the middle of the night or costly hotel stays. And all this on the heels of getting fkd last year with all 3 divisional home games at night. I know non ticket holders or locals don't care but I needed to complain about it anyway.

Anyone else get a chuckle out of the 2 hour schedule release last night on NFLN? I know it's a regular thing now, but man, a 2 hour show dedicated to the release of the NFL schedule? LOL talk about overkill. But then again we're set for even more overkill on Thurs. night.
Schedule notables:

Green Bay -- haven't defeated the Packers since 1988.

Detroit -- 4 games with the Lions in 4 years, 3 in a row at Detroit.
Lets hope we can end our losing streak there. :D

Hoepfully we can start another 23-game win streak.

The only thing I care about is the fact that our bye week is right smack in the middle of the season again. Not sure I like all the prime-times games being at the beginning of the season....I love not having wait all day to watch the game.

Oh and Dalla's schedule looks brutal. If they get 10 wins I'll be surprised and if they do their chance of going to the SB is sky high. F...Dallas and all it's Cowboy fans.

HTTR.

LOL....I suppose 24 hour cable has to have something to show. If people tune in they'll continue with the overkill.

They also have an early bye, so that means they probably will NOT be dodging the injury bug this year. heehee.

I hear ya. I live a hour and a half away and have a son. It makes it hard because of work the next day and finding a babysitter for a one year old. But I will be there rain or shine. At least we will be competetive this year rather than being blown out like last year and getting messed with at work the next day...

While for some of my personal plans the schedule stinks, I really like our schedule breakdown from a team perspective. We have a TOUGH schedule (the whole NFC East does) in terms of the teams we play, but I think our weaker teams are spread out a little better than the rest of our division. We also play more weaker teams, and that doesnt mean they'll be weak come the season (and they probaboly view us the same way coming off a 4-12 season...) However we dont erally run into a terrible stretch of games anywhere. I'd say looking at it, the toughest three game stretch is Eagles/Green Bay/Colts. I also think Tennesee could end up being pretty good, and we play the Vikings/Giants and Eagles all in a row with the Vikings.

The Giants schedule breaks out pretty nice much like ours does. Philly much the same, although I like the Skins breakdown better....

However, look at the last nine games for Dallas: Green Bay, NYG, Detroit, New Orleans, Indianapolis, Philadelphia, Washington, Arizona and Philadlephia to end the season. So they're gonna need to get off to a really hot start I think.

Either way, all the schedules in the NFC East look really tough, and I think the best record in the division will probaboly end up being like 9-7 or 10-6.

Either way, I guess we'll see, becuase half the teams that are supposed to be good can end up sucking and a team like Tampa Bay who we play and no one else does could be a jauggernaut.

Agreed. I think 10 wins in our division has a great chance to be the best in the East.
