Re: Redskins 31 Browns 20 post game talk
I'll focus on the negatives:
Shitty tackling (lack of) Lack of a run D up the middle (pathetic) Josh Norman 1st half Cousins holding onto the ball again resulting in a sack and not taking advantage of the turnover. Where was Djax? Brutton Getting tired of Barry not adjusting (if we would have lost, I would have fired his ass and promote Fewell or Manusky as DC)
The Browns had 70+ yards of pass interference when covering DJax. Part of the shitty tackling is caused by them trying to strip the ball. |
Re: Redskins 31 Browns 20 post game talk
djax made 2 huge plays without even catching the ball
Ha thanks
But I think there are people on here that still think we could make the playoffs even if we would have lost to Cleveland :saywhat:
A loss to Cleveland would have been pretty much lights out. Do not care what week it is. However, at 2-2 it is tough to think we haven't got a chance. Our defense certainly is going to make it extremely tough on us no doubt. We are not the worst "team" though. Carolina, Arizona - I would have said those games were sure losses. Now not so much. Certainly Detroit, Baltimore are winnable. Dallas, Giants. Winnable. 8-4 for this team down the stretch might be asking alot, but it certainly is doable. Teams catch fire, injuries happen around the league, etc. |

Re: Redskins 31 Browns 20 post game talk
Defense is pure garbage but they are getting turnovers....

Re: Redskins 31 Browns 20 post game talk
yeah we cant stop anyone but as long as we get some TOs a couple a game will go a long way

F the Giants. We already beat them once and we can do it again. Eli will choke enough for them to fail to win the division. |
Re: Redskins 31 Browns 20 post game talk
No 1 thing we can do to improve our run defense is tackle. cleaning up missed tackles needs to be address immediately. Also I'd bench bruton and play duke at ss.

Re: Redskins 31 Browns 20 post game talk
The more I think about it, the more disappointed I am in the play calling.
I was just sitting here remembering how pissed I was at half time. Initially, they show a very balanced approach and the offense was humming. Our opening drive was 10 min or so. The Oline was clicking, and Jones was running as hard as he ever had. And then McVay, Gruden, or whoever (Cooley says McVay calls the plays, but Gruden has to have a big influence) start going 5 wide with empty sets we stall, eat very little clock, and our defense is on the field for an eternity. 1. If running is working why go away from it? They came back to it at the end. The Patriots and us are apples and oranges. They find a weakness and exploit it till they can't anymore like calling the same play 5 times in a row. They force teams to play in ways they don't want to. We are allergic to success and go away from it on our own. The same BS explanation of the fades will no doubt be put forward. "We saw matchups we liked" The offense was walking it down the field with ease so obviously there were match up advantages happening when the oline and Jones were kicking their butts. 2. Our defense looked like pure crap in the 1st half. I don't see how Jay could have any confidence they could come up with a stop after that 1st half. The turnovers are great but really unpredictable. Why wouldn't Jay and/or Mcvay call plays in a balanced way to eat the clock and protect the defense, especially since Cleveland looked clueless at stopping it? It's like they outsmart themselves. Jesus. |

I hope all the pessimists here will forgive me for believing that we can win the division. I believe that some of you are over-estimating our competitors and under-estimating our own team. We have many strengths as a team and we can improve some of our weaknesses during the season.

I underestimate no one, I knew the Browns would be tough. If anything Pryor and Crowell are under appreciated, I was very impressed with those 2. |

I see back to back division champs. We are deeper than the rest of the division, and we have the best front office in the division. When other teams start falling off because of injuries, we will get stronger. |

They moved people today. |
