Re: 2012 NFL Draft Prospects
While we are dealing with Fred Davis and Trent Williams known substance abuse issues (its an issue because they are multi-time offenders), why are we even considering drafting a player with serious character issues? Pass

After week 13, we are in the 5th position in terms of 1st round pick. I think with the suspensions, we might be able to up that to 4th, and get Barkley without spending additional picks........ |

Re: 2012 NFL Draft Prospects
OK, if that is the situation, I wouldn't move up. I would stay put and take our chances.
|
I worry about Jax taking Matt B but even if they did we could take RGIII
|
Re: 2012 NFL Draft Prospects
Jax has Gabbert with no help for him, they will take Jeffery or Blackmon.
|
Wait what???? Quake just said Blackmon will go in the top 5??!!! Lol
|
Re: 2012 NFL Draft Prospects
He doesn't deserve it but it's based on need. Jax NEEDS a WR just as bad as we need a QB.
Indy- Luck (surprise of the draft) Minnesota- Kalil Jax- Blackmon Washington- Barkley or RGIII (our choice) |

How do you come to this? You think the Colts, Rams, Jaguars, and Browns are going to win more games than us down the stretch? Doubtful. Their offense and defense are both garbage. Then we will be in a tie with a lot of teams and could move up or down one or two spots just depending on the coin flip. You guys are way to optimistic about our chances of a high pick. I put us in the 5-7 range at best. |

I think 4 is about right, never said the colts or rams would win more than us but I do think 4 is reasonable. |

What about Jeff Demps in the 5th round or so. Fast as hell could be a good backup to Helu if Hightower doesnt return and can help out in the return game if need be.

I'm not saying they are the same I'm saying they both were great college WRs that were (will) be drafted top 5. |

Not doubting his ability to be a good WR in the NFL but he could also be a bust. Nothing is set in stone. I am saying that he is not better than Dez Bryant coming out. Could he be a top3 wr in the nfl? Sure. Do I think he will be a top 3 WR in the NFL? Not 100% sold on it just yet. |
Re: 2012 NFL Draft Prospects
Agreed
Oh and Jones guy 6'4 4.5 Forty not bad I'd consider him at TE also |
Re: 2012 NFL Draft Prospects
Agreed
Oh and Jones guy 6'4 4.5 Forty not bad I'd consider him at TE also
I wouldn't. Too much of a playmaker at WR. Plus we have Cooley and Davis. |
Re: 2012 NFL Draft Prospects
nah, he is too lean for TE, plus, we got two of those, and Paulsen is definitely serviceable, so........
I doubt that he will fall to the second round, but if he does, we would be stupid not to draft this stud. This guy reminds me of Vincent Jackson, hopefully without the ego. He runs excellent deep routes, and with a little practice running his route tree and packing on a couple lbs, he could be our number one for years to come. I really think Dwight Jones is going to be an elite player. |

yeah, apparently he has been clocked as low as 4.41. Pair that speed and length with Moss, Hankerson, Fred Davis and a capable young quarterback and you might be onto something. If our offensive line stays healthy, I could see the offense making a complete 180 in a fairly short amount of time. It all hinges on this years draft though. |

What if cc is gone? Plus Fred is a FA

So you're saying we'll find a team with multiple 1st round picks in this year's draft that will want our position badly enough to give us both of them? |
