Re: Victory Monday
And the skins were playing pro bowlers?
I thought the Skins have talent worthy of only 3-13 season on the roster. It's good to see Jacobs shit on his teammates by saying "look who we had out there." Hey Brandon, I saw them out there and they looked to me like NFL players who suited up. Shame they didn't have you out there much. Get better homie and maybe you can join your teammates out there more often. |
Re: Victory Monday
I know we ALL say things all the time about the Skins' but I swear to god this TEAM has a different feel ... Rex ... Beck ... it's just about the TEAM .... the defense has some serious swagger and is only going to get better ... back to being a top 10 defense will make things a lot better for our Offense .. not to mention we have a top 5 return man and a kicker that blasts them through the endzone everytime ... WR has great depth, Gaffney looks a lot bigger than I remember ? Moss looks like he's 25 ... Fred Davis is a beast and thank you very much for being my fantasy sleeper !!! Always loved Cooley but Davis is going to F some S up this year ... i'm rambling but damn ... HTTR .... take care of business this week
^ Ya know I almost said this last night but I didn't post it. No one outside of DC will give this team a chance. They will simply say that the Giants lost the game or gave it to us.
I used to get mad that the media would not give the Skins any props during preseason or leading up to this game. What did one media idiot say ... "the Skins suck like ice cubes" or something like that. But now... although rediculously unfair, I'll take everyone down playing our wins and expecting a Skins loss every weekend. That way the Skins can suprise a few people on Sun. hopefully.
I don't think anyone hasn't shown us respect for what we did yesterday outside of NY ,and you can't say by blaming Eli's crappy performance, they are necessarily dissing us either. Foxsports, etc gave us props for what we did. My co workers were impressed and they are Lions fans. I mean we did play very solid football, but you have to admit in doing so, Eli sucked balls. A guy like Eli should be able to play with the big boys, and he didn't really play well at all. Rex outplayed him!!!!!!!!! |

We got a decent amount of respect from ESPN today. I didn't have to work today, so I was all over sports talk radio and ESPN during the day. Heck, NFL Live gave Kerrigan the defensive play of the day. |
Re: Victory Monday
There's an atmosphere surrounding this team unlike anything I've seen in recent years. Everybody seems to be buying-in. No..........but I did hear Merril Hoge and Tim Hasselbeck give big props to the team and especially Rex. Great thing for both.... |

Re: Victory Monday
A neighbor of mine is a Dallas fan and after having drove past their house yesterday with family in tow wearing Skins jerseys I came home to find someone (we know who) wrote "Dallas Rules" on my screen door to my house.
So after the Skins game I went shopping and purchased red balloons and yellow balloons (closest colors I could get from the dollar store) and red and yellow streamers, blew them up and tied strings to them. Then at the 14 min. mark in the second quarter of the Dallas game me and my family snuck up to the neighbors house and tied the balloons to their front tree and bench and car antenna. Then we took the streamers and tossed it back and forth through the tree, wrapped their bench, and taped little streamers about 6 inch in length down their mini van. They had "Skins Suck" and "Dallas Rules" written on the back of their van which was turned into "Skins Rock" and Dallas Drules". LOL. It was all still up early this morning at around 7:10 am. lol. I just wish I could be there to see their faces. lol.
Great stuff. |
You beat the team you are suppose to beat, and the Giants didn't,the Skins did simple as that .I said it before the Skins D has come together nicely. Facts are facts the Giants played with a depleted team yesterday not an excuse just a fact, alot of young back ups and rookies but still pros and in fact I was impressed by alot of the younger guys ....they didn't do bad. The lack of an off season has hurt Eli,the Giants O will come around but in my opinion in about 3 weeks.Oh and 1 more thing....serously the interception was more a Great play by Kerrigan(sp) then a bad play by Eli,had the tackle done his job the passing lane should have been open.Remember it's not where you start it's where you finish.
Lack of offseason hurt a QB with what 6 or 7 seasons in the same system more then a QB who was in his 4th start with a team? OK if that makes you feel better. |

Yeah he said he was right when he predicted that the redskins would win (or cover the spread, he wasn't really clear). Either way he said he was right with his predicted outcome of the game. |
Remember it's not where you start it's where you finish.
Yeah and the redskins finished the game by resoundly beating the giants. No excuses. The giants just got beat. |

I think its because Eli's helmet fit makes him look like a doof. |

Portis would have never, EVER done such a thing. Don't kid yourselves, he fought hard against practicing "too much", and what was "too much" was determined at his discretion.

Re: Victory Monday
Hahaha. My buddy, who is a huge giants fan, once compared Eli to the youngest brother of a family of bakers. The father was a neighborhood legend, the oldest son was the second coming and the youngest wanted to do be a dancer or some such nonsense. I think that is based largely on the Eli face where it looks like he would rather be pirouetting in a Tutu!
|
Re: Victory Monday
Lets dont be so rough on Eli, he's torched the Cowboys way more that the skins have, so i kinda have to give Eli a pass on bashing him.

Vick comes to mind, but didnt he get the clap or something, what was that whole Ron Mexico thing a long time a go??? Jeff George immediatly came to mind and also falls into that catoagory if he was still around. Eli just really dont cause me to sling any wrath his way. |

Ohhhh, though they didn't actually turn down the day off since it was never actually offered. But that's neither here nor there. |
