Actually there are. The Teachers are teaching virtually but from school .If they can't make it.....it is a snow day.
Not in NJ. They teach virtually from home. I mean it is a district decision but why would they have a snow day ever with virtual capabilities?

Wife's school did that last Spring and it was a nightmare , doing the virtual from school is better according to the teachers ,they have everything they need there.

Just cleaned off my car and it was brutal. Been a long time since I've seen snow piled that high.

Sorry guys. We were on the slush line, 95 south of DC barely got an inch. But the temps hovered around freezing and made the roads icy as it switched from snow/rain into the night.

Kentucky tornados ... Ive read some first hand accounts, so scary.

Over 100 dead, 50,000 plus without power, id guess tens of thousands with no home.

Hopefully people have home ins to cover tornados. I deal with ins companies and they 100% took advantage of covid and the courts being closed and people not working .. I have zero expectation they wont do the 3 Ds here (delay, deny, defend).

We have a huge country and there is not 1 place where the Earth isn't trying to kill us.

Between blizzards, hurricanes, tsunamis, tornadoes, earthquakes, etc., we're all just waiting around to see who gets hit next by something.

Really sucks for all of those people, that was a crazy number of tornadoes in a short period of time.

Reading about the candle factory workers whose lives were put in danger when supervisors told them they risk losing their jobs if they left early - hope the lawsuits put them out of business.

I was told the same thing on 9/11 after I saw the first tower go down . FIL was at the Pentagon that day and my BIL had an Office in one of the trade center buildings. I left anyway he got suspended , transferred and I got an apology I wanted him fired .

Again thoughts and prayers to all!

Just so fucked up. The company essentlally holding employees hostage. They need to be sued into the stone age.

on 9/11 I was working a shit job for CompUSA (RIP), the store stayed up all day. I just thought it was amazing given what was going on that upper management made the decision that trying to sell some TVs was more important.
