Re: Colts Officially Release Peyton Manning (QB Thread #11)
Fair enough. Though I don't agree that Cam was thought of as a non-1st rounder for any longer than RG3 was
Also fair enough, I just think at the same point in their draft journey more teams liked RG3 than Cam. |
Really? Cam was thought of as a 2nd rounder for so long but we can compare.
Passing Accuracy: RG3 Speed: RG3 Vertical Jump (Which means nothing to QBs): RG3 Arm Strength: Cam Broad Jump (Again means nothing): Cam Intangibles: RG3 If they were in the same draft I'm pretty sure RG3 would be drafted first.
It means nothing unless you do the Tebow jump pass. |
Re: Colts Officially Release Peyton Manning (QB Thread #11)
Well, Dan McKlurken now thinks Washington is the front runner to get Peyton Manning.
He is saying it will create a super division within the NFL with a lot of attention on the Manning boys. :cool-smil |

Re: Colts Officially Release Peyton Manning (QB Thread #11)
Oh no, I was just speaking in terms of those two only. Though, from what I hear it's probably 90% it will be one of those two (doubt it's both)
Is that another sick Rex Grossman/RG3 joke? |

Re: Colts Officially Release Peyton Manning (QB Thread #11)
Whatever team RG3 goes to will have a Cam Newton type of effect. Ryan Tannehill not so much. I live in Charlotte and the excitement for the Panthers has never been this high. RG3 is a better prospect than Cam was and thanks to Andrew Luck coming out is within our reach. We need to make this happen.
Yeah I agree. I live in Charlotte as well and Cam is definitely the face of Charlotte Sports, as a rookie no less. His immediate impact on this area was insane. Even though they lost more than they won, he certainly has the area excited about the future and how good this team can be if they didn't lose a ton of starters on D last year. |

Ha! That's excellent! Tebow and TJack: masters of the jump pass! |

Their D was decimated last year, a healthy Jon Beason, James Anderson, Chris Gamble, the fact that they will probably take Dontari Poe, and a defensive draft Carolina could compete for the division next year. |

Agreed. I consider myself to be a wealth of knowledge... |
Re: Colts Officially Release Peyton Manning (QB Thread #11)
So we get Manning and would still take Tannehill at 6? Wow thats pretty damn stupid. Rather move back or take a QB round 2 than reach that high at 6 with many other needs.

You can still get good quality players with our second and third rounders. Also, trading down depends on who is interested in trading with us and that always doesn't happen. |
Re: Colts Officially Release Peyton Manning (QB Thread #11)
To me, this makes too much sense. But I've heard the Cardinals have to make a few other moves to make it work though and it may not be so easy for them. Still, if I'm Manning I probably put the Cardinals at the top of my list

Manning is reported saying he doesn't want to play for the Skins. Per Chris Russell
