New England trades down again! They may end up with 15 picks this draft.

Great, another WR with character issues for the Cowboys. Austin Miles must be feeling great.

Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
from Wes ODonnell, no clue who he is but here are his points:

Here are five reasons why the Oklahoma Sooner, Trent Williams, is the best offensive tackle in the 2010 NFL Draft.

Athleticism

When all the hype was surrounding Bruce Campbell of Maryland at the NFL Combine, Williams quietly posted great numbers of his own.

At 6’4" 5/8, 315 pounds, Williams showcased fantastic speed, burst, and explosion posting a 4.88 40, 34.5 inch vertical jump, and a 9’5" broad jump.

All three of these stats were good enough for top three in their respective categories.

He has great agility, fantastic feet, displays good balance, can get up to the second level and make plays and can recover if beat.

Versatility

Williams was a do everything guy at Oklahoma and has played almost every position on the line effectively.

He has played inside, he has played outside at both left and right tackle, and even ended up at center one point.

He understands how and where to set up along the line and how to position himself to make the biggest impact.

Physicality

Williams displays a fantastic first punch and utilizes his strength off the line very well.

He is also extremely tough and displays that nasty streak you look for in a lineman.

He is not necessarily the biggest or the strongest, but he makes up for it with his power and intensity.

Experience

A by product of spending time all along the offensive front, Williams has experience for wherever he is needed.

He has also played at a high level of competition throughout his career and is no stranger to top talent. His time against upper-echelon pass rushers is a huge positive.

Upside

Combining all four of these traits together makes for a potential star at the next level.

The versatility to do whatever is asked of him, the athleticism to pull it off effectively, the physicality to make it count, and the experience in performing make Williams a hard prospect to pass up.

Without comparing Williams to the other tackles in this class, he certainly has the physical and mental attributes to warrant his being selected as the top tackle of 2010.

Yet, Okung is a solid player, but unspectacular.

Bulaga is a talented prospect but may max out at the right side of the line and Davis has potential similar to Williams’ but has a few concerning hurdles to clear before he can make that kind of impact.

When comparing him with the other prospects, Trent Williams provides the most foreseeable opportunity to become the biggest star at the next level and is the best tackle prospect of the 2010 NFL Draft class.

On Thursday night the Washington Redskins will have quite the decision on their hands at No. 4 overall. Not only is Williams the best tackle in this class, he should be the first tackle selected.
Do you have some info about his actual gameplay, film study about his performance at LT for OU??? Trying to warm up to TW.

Bryant's questionable character should fit right in with Dallas.
