Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
My best available:
Jerrell Powe NT Mississippi (he must have done something to make everyone not want him, unless its a major crime, hes worth a 7th rounder to me) Jeff Mahael WR Oregon (hey we've already drafted this many, why not?) Ryan Barthelomew C Syracuse Chase Beeler C Stanford Thomas Keiser OLB Standford Mark Herzlich LB BC Johnny Culbreth OT South Carolina State David Mims OT Virginia Union Chas Henry P Florida Danny Aiken LS UVA Justin Rogers CB Richmond Kendrick Burney UNC Mike Person G Montana State Kenny Rowe OLB Oregon |
What's up with Powe? he's still there right? something majorly wrong with him?
I know he was graded a 41 by Scouts Inc. 90 - 1st Round 80 - 2nd Round 70 - 3rd round 60 - 4th 50 - 5th 40 - 6th 30 - 7th So assuming their grade is right it's not to unusual for a 6th rounder to drop to the 7th as many guys with 7th round grades go earlier. |

He doesn't have any injury concerns so... |
Well the Nevada kid was in the same ballpark as Newton in terms of physical tools. A good comparison for McElroy might be Fitzpatrick. Both were smart, productive QB's that were overlooked on draft day.
Yeah, but you should draft a QB with the right combo of brains and ability. McElroy does have the brain, but I thought he had some decent ability also. He could make a better QB than Locker if given the chance. Locker is the biggest puzzlement for me in terms of how many people loved him, and not just fellow Warpathers. He is a nice kid and does have the raw tools, but I wouldn't use a first round pick on a developmental project. |
St. Louis just called McElroy to say they want to draft him and to hang on.
Skins have pick 213. Rams next pick is 216. They could steal him. |

Can't speak for the other two but I know magazines are sometimes published a little to early. Still hopefully they get him with one of these four 7th round picks. |
Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
People gotta also remember that we run that zone blocking scheme and that every olineman isnt built to zone block. That may be the reasoning behind us not drafting any olinemen. I want us to draft a center so bad though....Im so tired of Rabach. I will do a back flip if we draft the center Syracuse. That's my squad....

Two guards to look out for Keith Williams and Richard Henry. Why you ask? Are they athletic, tough, agile, experienced? Heck if I know. But they both played Guard at Nebraska.

Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
Does anyone else remember last year when people were PISSED, then in the 7th round Redskins select (229)- C Erik Cook New Mexico and (231)- OT Selvish Capers West Virginia. The board went nuts.
I am assuming a similar 7th round. |
Good luck fighting off 15 other teams, 3 of which from out own division who want him badly.
We do not want to sign him, Skins need to stop signing all of these high priced free agents, he will cost tons and he is starting to get older. We need to move on to young free agents and draft picks. Save the money. |

I here you, but I think most of us just are in a "get the bums" out mentality. It would be nice to land at least one interior linemen this draft, two would be even better. |
All these draft pundits lover this SMU kid.
The NFL Network's Mike Mayock and Charles Davis love Aldrick Robinson. They say he is really fast, real fast acceleration off the line to stretch defenses. They like how the first two WR are big body guys to work the middle of the field and now have Aldrick Robinson to stretch it. |
