Re: Ron Rivera
Are you asking what I'd like to see happen, or what I think Danny will do?
If they're horrible enough to get a top 3 pick I'd like to see Ron canned after this season, pick a new regime, and let them make the draft selection. But I don't think Danny cans this coaching staff with 2 years remaining on Ron's deal. Too much money for him to fork over. I don't think they'll be quite that horrible anyway. We're going to be stuck in this 7-10 purgatory again this year.
Yeah I was asking what you think Dan would do in that situation if they did have that bad of a season. Again, I think you're right and they'll win just enough to do it all over again next season...but there's a chance they could be bad enough to make all that happen. One more starter knocked out on the Oline and that may do it. |
Re: Ron Rivera
We will never win a Super Bowl with Rivera. Shitty situation as a fan. Going 1-16 would be the best thing for the franchise. But, deep down, I don't want to lose every freaking game.
Rock meet hard place. |

Pictures/video or it doesn't count. |
Re: Ron Rivera
I have never been a fan of Rivera. We live in the South so we see lots of news items about all of the Southern teams including Carolina. What you are seeing from Rivera now is the same as he did in his last position. Namely, failing defense, non-existent offense, publicly humiliating players, blaming everything on anything else. I do give him props for what he has done with the mess he inherited but not for anything else. He will stick with Wentz to the bitter end, no matter how bad he may be. As for Wentz, he is what you see, a willing quarterback with less ability than the media gives him credit for. I sincerely hope Rivera and his gang are removed at the end of the season. Unfortunately, Snyder will probably pick another marginal head coach while telling everyone how great it is going to be. It will be same old, same old.

Come on have a lil faith in Jamf and I I just hope Alba put on some weight, if not, she might get folded |
Re: Ron Rivera
7 times now in the Rivera era we've been down 20 points or more at the half. That's just ridiculous.

Yeah I'm sorry but I know guys like him and he is a cancer survivor all of that is awesome but the dude is not a winner as a HC, at the end of the day it's about wins and losses in the NFL.. This isn't HS football where a feel good story does the job. |
Re: Ron Rivera
Definitely getting tired of him getting snippy with the media, dude you have a losing record here. It's year 3 and it still looks like year 1. Sorry but answering tough questions is your job.

Yeah and we are not any better in year 3 than we were in year 1. If we lose Sunday the season will really start to decline, it's really a must win game early on.. You can't start 0-2 in the div |

Yeah that has pissed me off. You want your players to be accountable then you and your staff should be as well. |
Re: Ron Rivera
its more and more looking like any success Riverboat had as a coach was due to Cam Newton in his prime.
