They’re gonna be lower than expected because Payne, Sweat, Allen and Young all rushed the passer 35+ times and only 2 of them had more than 2 pressures |
Re: SF Postgame
OK - thank you for posting. surprised CY is not in the 80s
resign Chase please Lucas is doing decent on the left side. hes not dominant, doesnt seem to open holes, cant be asked to pull or move out into space ... but hes playing decent. Wes Schweitzer injury ... did he come back into the game? I didnt notice Wes Martin looking bad out there. |

It was the best grade the OL has gotten in a game this season |

Proof that grades can be so worthless. CY wrecked that game.

He def did, it's aslo very hard to get 80 or 90.. 70's are good |
Re: SF Postgame
Curl had an Int for a 76 yard td, 2 passes defended, 7 tackles and a QB hit, how does he get a low score. Bullshit!!
|
Re: SF Postgame
Ive learned one thing this week.
Skins vs Niners week .. fires SFred up! ---- A 80 plus grade is great, 70s is good. OK - how many total 80 and 90 grades do they tend to give out per week? I imagine they give out maybe 10 grades of 90 plus a week. Sounds like CY had lots of 1 on 1 matchups that effected his grade. |

He gave up 57% of his targets which can drive the grade down some. It's not like SF didn't have success moving the ball guys |

That's what I'm saying. We made plays, kudos to CY, Curl, etc. because we had impact plays and the two td's were game winners thanks to the O being shut down, but there was also 2+ drives where Kyle's zone scheme was going for almost 10 yards a run and they were moving the ball with success. We won the turnover battle and scored 17 off turnovers. I'm not surprised the grades are what they are. Did anybody forget the first quarter? Steelers rushed for 21 the entire game, I think the 49ers had almost 50 by the end of the first quarter. They tightened up but there was a time in the second half where they relaxed a bit too, I think it was right after the Curl pick-six. We definitely have some things to work on for Seattle, Russell Wilson will tear this d up if we don't play better. |
Re: SF Postgame
The in-game adjustments have been nice, but the early game plan has been garbage.

Hey can you post the San Fran oline grades across the board? |

Trent - 76 Mike M - 67 McKivitz- 62.4 Brunskill - 61 Tomlinson - 59 |
Re: SF Postgame
Looks like Trent vs. Chase was a damn good matchup. Although Chase doesn't always line up on that side, because he's a freak.
|
Re: SF Postgame
Their best grade was equal to the WFT worst grade.

That's probably why it's not lower than 76. |
Re: SF Postgame
Trent allowed 1 pressure and 1 hurry yesterday and it's no surprise, he is a top 5 LT when healthy
Was his 3rd lowest grade for the season yesterday |

Re: SF Postgame
I dunno but Everett and Curl are the best safety combo we have. Curl coming down and playing the slot in coverage is flexibility we haven’t had at Safety in a long time. Reaves playing over the top has been intriguing.
Apke and Collins need to move on
Collins is not going anywhere in 2021 with his contract . . . after that years, sure . . . but he will be here and getting paid next season. So either he plays safety and one of Curl/Everett sit . . . or we do something different with him. |

So glad Bruce Allen is gone. I have always felt DS could be a good owner if he ever "gets" it. Still not sure he ever will, but this new team gives the most hope since JGibbs II. |

This. Also they didn't leave, Mike S. got fired for going 3-13. Did we really think Kyle was going to have no hard feelings for his dad being scapegoated by Bruce Allen as the cause of the problems? LOL. The Trent thing goes both ways, Rivera obviously would've welcomed him back. But Trent wanted to be paid and knew if we wouldn't, somebody else would. Fuck him and Bruce Allen for the way it was handled. We need to move on though, I guarantee there wasn't one player on the field yesterday that wanted payback at Trent for the way he left. |

We don't even have a rivalry with SF. They're not worth losing sleep over. |

I like baldy, nice assessment. Watch the video, the hit Everett put on Aiyuk is priceless.

Kyle Stackpole with the truth again.
Kam Curl was the 216th pick in this year's draft and has only been the full-time starter since Week 9. Yet he's 2nd on @WashingtonNFL with 69 total tackles & 48 solo tackles. Also has 5 QB hits, 4 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, 2 PBUs, an interception and a TD. Heck of a rookie year.
|

Re: SF Postgame
Terry would have 100 catches with a legit QB , sucks for him but he'll get his in the future
McLaurin will get hooked up with a legit QB when we draft one in 2021. We may be a middle draft team in 2021, but we can trade to get into a better position. Alex Smith can take this team to victory this season if he is healthy. He was not healthy this game, which is why his passes were so inconsistent. We need him THIS season and NEXT Season to mentor our new QB draftee. Haskins will be gone and we’ll get little for him. With all the mentor ship from Alex Smith he has still not improved. He may get another chance on another team, but I doubt he will be more than a backup. Steve Sims, Jr keeps dropping g key passes that hit his hands. Time to bring in Everett and Wright to see what they can do. Sims,Jr will be gone after this season. Washington has turned the corner this season. For the last 20 years, FA came to this team to cash in. The results show that. Now we will get HIGH QUALITY FAs who want to come to a team on the “up escalator”. We can get young FA who wants to join a team with a winning culture, an outstanding Head Coach and where you can make a difference. We will be looking at very good FA to replace Steve Sims and others who don’t make the cut. With the fifth highest cap money in the NFL, the team can resign Scherff and Allen if they want. The team MUST stay focused on getting the best QB draft pick in the draft. This team has gone through over 20 QB - and our record shows that. Only with a young FRANCHISE QB Can this franchise become a perennial winner. Alex Smith is our gateway to the future! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: SF Postgame
I don't like how Trent handled things on the way out. But you can't discount the Smithers factor. The moment he retires, he moves right back into my top 2-10 Redskins players of all times. He was awesome for us. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water.

Re: SF Postgame
John Keim
@john_keim · 1h It works in unison. On Young's fumble return for a TD, Mullens wanted a fake TE screen, then to hit the WR down the seam. Curl takes it away. Mullens has to abandon b/c of pressure. Then Payne and Young take it from there. On a side note: Jon Allen is playing really well. There that guy is again... And agree with Keim, Jon Allen has been a monster this year. Get him in a long term extension. |

If they could somehow move Collins for a player/pick I would be ecstatic. If not they need to put him in a LB/Hybrid role similar to what Seattle does with J. Adams. He just isn't good enough in coverage to rely on, but I do think he's an effective blitzer and is solid in run support, for the most part. |
