Gibbs' last season was 9-7. But I agree with what you've said here.

Ultimately, Rocky has been part of a team that has been middle of the pack at best, or downright bad. The personnel that Shanahan and Allen are sifting through are not their guys, they are Vinny's guys.

As far as I'm concerned, 90% of the roster could be completely turned upside down and I wouldn't shed a tear. It's a 4-12 team we're talking about after all.[/QUOTE

I think what most people are shook-up about is the fact that the players whose names have been mentioned in trades, are players that based on where they were drafted we won't get equal compensation for.

Rocky was a 2nd...Jason was a 1st..& AH was a 1st, the 15th player picked. Based on what is being speculated we'll get in return for these players is off the wall. I agree with SFREDSKIN geting in return 4th & 5th rounders is paramount to us just giving them away. Granted we were a 4-12 team last year (though some would argue we're better than that) but we shouldn't just virtually give away our best players.
There's going to be a shortage of LB's on the roster if McIntosh and Carter are traded, Fletcher is getting up there in age. I'm a little worried, time to rethink the draft.
I would say time to rethink the 3-4.

Laron looks like a comic book character! Obviously he hasn't been sitting on his ass like most of the people who want to dump him for a bag of peanuts...
“I think, so far, there has been a ‘Let’s get this thing right’ attitude,’" Hicks, one of the Redskins’ free agent pickups, said. Daniels has become one of my fave Skins over the past few years.
Daniels is a beast.
Skins are actually planning to implement some 4-2-5 defensive schemes. I think maybe Texas A&M or TCU runs it?
Isn't Henson a master of the 4-2-5? lol
That's pretty sad if that's all you can get for them. We might as well hold on to them.
No doubt. That is pathetic.
We're stealing Brandon Spikes in the 4th round anyway...that's not some sort of inside info by the way, just speculating on my part

LB is definitely a position we need to address. And I'm really curious about how HB Blades fits in
Do you really think Spikes will still be on the board when we pick in the 4th round? I dont think so.

Re: Mini camp news
This is why I don't like the switch to the 3-4. We're basically having to completely retool a defense that was more than adequate before. I agree it needed more punch and takeaway ability but to essentially start gutting immediately when our offense is in need of such great focus is disappointing. Seems like a less than ideal way of going about this. Might as well just cut the whole team and start over.
When your team is 4-12 and the defense ranks at the bottom in turnovers its safe to say no players or scheme is set in stone. Our defense was overated and they did not make plays when it really matter. Hello remember the Saints game.

Yeah my screw up. I always get the 2006 and 2007 records messed up.

We will get decent compensation for JC and AH. No first rounders but maybe a 2nd rounder or two for each. That to me isn't to shabby. AH was the dumbest acquisition that Snyder has ever done for the money he paid out. Even the Bruce Smith deal wasn't half as bad as that. It makes me wonder if the McNabb deal is going to be worth it.

Re: Mini camp news

I'm concerned about our LB's for the 3-4 defense, none of them have played in a 3-4 defense. Are we serious about making Jarmon a LB in the 3-4 wow I dont see that working. Do we have any LBs that can cover a TE on the roster. We face Witten. Boss and Brent Celleck ( Eagles) twice a year how do we match up with them? We are moving Rock Alexander, Jarmon to LBs this is going to be a learning curve for both of them. I say we need to draft or aquire some rookies in the draft or undrafted rookie free agents with some expierence.
