Re: Around the NFL…Week 6 Style
We definitely blew it with Cousins, but he didn't want to stay. Nobody wants to be here for long. We're a reverse car wash.

He wanted to leave because Dan was all over RG3's dick even after KC was balling in his absence. |
I don't understand how a QB that has done marginally well in a much better run organization, and a team with a hell of a lot more talent, could have done better in our train wreck of an organization.
Cousins is not good enough of a QB to have overcome the dysfunction of this organization, which is what you imply by saying that it was the worst mistake to let him walk. There are very few QBs that could have changed our team's situation over the past 3 years, and Kirk Cousins is not one of them (hell he hasn't even changed Minnesota's situation).
I never said he was good enough to overcome our organization. But the team was better with him vs w/out and those are facts. The WL record is worse with out him. The offensive production is worse w/out him. Again those are facts. The issue in Minnesota is the their crappy defense. It is not Cousins. Yeah he throws out a few stinkers like he always does, but over the length of a full season he is a more than capable NFL starter. Personal feelings aside you have to admit that much. |

This is not true. Kirk wanted to be a free agent. He wanted to test the market. Had the front office showed him respect that he wanted he would have stayed. Instead they disrespected him multiple times. For what it's worth I heard his wife did not want to leave DC. She loved it here. |

It is all water under the bridge now but Dan made numerous mistakes when it came to RG3 and Cousins. Then he screwed up again and drafted Haskins when no one in his building wanted him. What an idiot. |

There was two fuck ups…not getting a relatively decent deal at 17 mill per year for 4-5 years but also then franchising him and then not trading him for at least one 1st and another early draft pick. |

Re: Around the NFL…Week 6 Style

I mean, probably a slight improvement, but not by much. |

There was definitely some. Felt like a "if we can't have an elite qb why settle for an above-average one?" dilemma. It has literally been nothing but downhill in regards to qb play since he left. And here we are yet again without our long term starter of the future settled. |

You were saying he was going to leave regardless and that was not the case. All Dan had to do was push Allen aside and get a deal done and he would have stayed. |
