Re: Bucs beat down postgame
Grant Paulsen tweeted that the "legendary" WFT drive that clinched the win spanned 10 minutes and 29 seconds, and was the longest fourth-quarter TD drive by any NFL team in 20 years.
I don't know where he found that stat, but damn...
Unbelievable. All the times we need one first down and cant do it but against the Bucs defense we go for over ten minutes. Please WFT just keep doing that. |
Re: Bucs beat down postgame
this has been me of late:
Me: I am done with wft fuck them WFT: what if we beat TB will you stay Me: LOL! Ok I will stay if you win LOL! ***4 HOURS LATER*** Me: God Dammit I swear i am in a abusive relationship with this team. |
Re: Bucs beat down postgame
To me Tampa just looked flat and disinterested. Also I thought Brady played terrible. All he did all day was throw to Fournette. It seemed like once Allen got a good hit on him on that first drive he just checked out.
Can they do it 2 weeks in a row? If you can beat the Bucs you can beat the Panthers.
Really hope this is the start of a run and not a 1 game flash in the pan. Yesterday was a really enjoyable game. They looked like what a good team looks like. Beat the Bucs in all 3 phases. Good times.
Probably not. |

I definitely know better than to get my hopes up. |
Re: Bucs beat down postgame
Although the numbers don't show it, I think the running game played a big role in the win.
To me, it seems that Gibson is healthier and ran much better against a concrete wall of a running defense. His two TDs in the red zone is the type of running game we've been missing this whole season. Moving forward, I think that having this type of running game will be helpful for TH. I just hope Gibson's health holds up through the rest of the season. Bonus: it was nice seeing Gibson getting more involved in the passing game as well. |

Definitely not an easy game but if we play and coach like we did yesterday it’s winnable for sure. |
Re: Bucs beat down postgame
Team isnt used to playing with a lead but they played well with it. Especially of course the icer of a 10 plus min drive to kill the game.
Even before the final drive, seemed like we put ourselves in 3rd and short a bunch of times and were able to fall forward and convert. Skins 3rd down conv -- 11/19 4th down - 2/2 Bucs 3rd down 4/10 Skins 71 plays Bucs 47 We had 0 sacks? Bucs had 5 for 30 yards lost Skins avg 2.8 yds per carry, 94 yds on 34 carries TOP Skins 39 mins, bucs 20 |
Re: Bucs beat down postgame
One of the most complete games I have seen the team play in years. We played like a team coming of the bi ready to play. The Bucs were the team looking rusty coming off the bi.

Re: Bucs beat down postgame
I only got the highlights on Redzone over here, but seemed to me there was a sense of belief in their play across the board. Heinicke seemed to be more in command than the previous games this season, even the Atlanta game where he played well. Seems like RR either gave him a confidence boost or a kick in the ass. Whatever he did, lets hope it sticks.
Realistically I can see 9-7 as a possible end of season picture (probably not enough for playoffs this year), IF it sticks. Just hoping it wasn't a flash in the pan and we crash against the Panthers. |

Gibson looked healthy in the game yesterday, he ran hard and often push defenders forward when being tackled. Of course this had to happen when I started McKissic over Gibson in my FFL |

Of course this had to happen when I started McKissic over Gibson in my FFL
I did the same thing, switched them last minute on a hunch that we'd be playing from behind and McKissic might rack up some garbage time catches and yards. |
Re: Bucs beat down postgame
And I started Brady in my FF league (I figured I would get something out of yesterday). So I am happy that I ended up with a not so good week (I also started Fournette which helped).

Re: Bucs beat down postgame
Every starter on the Line has a grade over 75 yesterday and that unit has been damn good all season John Matsko deserves major props
Wes Schweitzer - 91 Grade was the team high. |

I would have won $100 on a parlay yesterday but I enjoyed the win more then a easy $100 |
