WHAT THE **** ARE WE DOING! We essentially just traded back from 49-79 In order to get a single fourth rounder. Who does that? A mid second for a mid third and a fourth? Marvin austin, Daquan Bowers, or whoever else we gave up for Leonard Hankerson and Roy Helu? no thank you.
Notice the run on RB's. If Helu was our guy, we would have missed him without the trade up.

Shanahan has learned from the Pats: trade back, stockpile picks, and every now and then move up a bit to get the guy you want.

I'm not arguing whether or not Helu should have been our guy. But if he was, we did the right thing.

I am confused. What did you mean by Ryan Harris ?/?

That Stanford FB pick was pretty solid for Cleveland IMO. They are having a solid draft. That guy with Hillis maight be nasty. Plus a big WR and TE for Colt McCoy to throw to. I didn't even mention Phil Taylor. Nice job by the Browns.

Helps that the Falcons blew their load for Roddy White.

Wait until Bowers ends up like Courtney Brown (hope I'm wrong about that) and Austin is getting in trwoble.
Interviewed very poorly at the Combine, very selfishly throwing his college under the bus and refusing to take responsibility for any of the wrongdoings that led to his dismissal from the team. Has earned a reputation in the NFL scouting community as a "finger-pointing, excuse-making con artist" who does not know what it means to lead. Set a poor example and coasted way too much on his natural talent throughout college.
Then sit back and watch as Helu becomes the first Redskins in 2,000 years to break a run of more then 20 yards while Hankerson becomes a key figure in the offense..
Totally agree....Not feeling some of our moves...they are the coaches, so I'll hope they are taking in consideration a million things Im not. I cant front though, Im SICK that the Eagles got Matthews. I wouldve love to had picked that dude. Im sure we still need help at LB.
Rak-Fletch-Riley-Kerrigan

While it would be nice to have more LB's, LB is not a serious need for us right now.

Basically we don't know if we're going to resign Jamaal Brown or sign Ryan Harris. It's a deadly game, hopefully you end up with at least one of them.

Like Schefter said, when Shanahan trades up to get a RB it means he really likes him. I think we have to assume he was our guy.

The 5th round we went from having what 4 picks to 1? #15 pick 105.

I counted us having picks number
13
15
21
24

Perhaps I'm wrong, I'm seeing definitly 3 picks down to two in the 5th round 146 and 155

I'm surprised you remembered it. Usually when people call a number often they put on speed dial in turn forgetting the actual number.

I was thinking maybe a 3-4 ILB, only because Rocky McIntosh is on my sh*t list. But I'm holding out hope that Robert Henson will come out of nowhere and light it up for us.

Round 5, Pick 15 (146)
Round 5, Pick 24 (155)
Round 6, Pick 12 (177)
Round 6, Pick 13 (178)
Round 7, Pick 10 (213)
Round 7, Pick 14 (217)
Round 7, Pick 21 (224)
Round 7, Pick 50 (253)

We essentially gave up a 5th rounder to trade up and get Helu, as well as swap another 5th for a 6th.

I'm starting to feel like Cleveland is a little to white in their backfield. Next thing you know they're going to trade for Wes Welker and Anthony Gonzalez. Reminds me of NBA 2K5 when I would do a fantasy draft with a team geared towards 3 point shooting and suddenly realized I had one to many white guys

I seriously thought it was a joke the first time I saw Peyton Hillis and saw he was a RB. I was like no, that can't be right, they don't exist...

Everyone still has to make the team. The only players that are reasonably safe are the high paid players with lots of years left.
