They were not end run contracts they were legal because there was no salary cap that year and the NFL approved the contracts. Just because they hate Dan doesn’t mean they’re allowed to break the law.

#49ers LT Trent Williams' six-year, $138.06 million deal is actually two deals: three years, $60.75 million to start, and a three-year, $77.31M option the club can exercise by April 1, 2023. If exercised, Williams' 2023 pay becomes mostly guaranteed. He gets $32.4M in Year 1.

Collins struggled significantly in coverage. His best days were already behind him then he ruptured his Achilles last season. He will be even slower.
As an post 6/1 cut we will pocket $7.7M and use that to sign Scherff to a LTD.

My reading of his contract ... and I could totally be wrong, im no expert

2021 cap hit - 16.9M (18.8m dead money if cut now or post June)

If cut designated post June - 18.8M is then spread over 2 seasons, 9.4M this year and next year (but the full 18.8M still counts against our current cap until June 1)

Post June cut = 7.5M (16.9-9.4) in extra cap space on June 1, 9.4M dead cap hit next season

I dunno; its always is a red flag when criminal chargers aren’t pursued; but in this day and age narrative first, facts later or never; it may cause some to pause.

I have to admit my brain went there too. The timing definitely made me raise an eyebrow.

I don't like to jump to conclusions on these things though, just need to let facts come out. Some have been real (Guice) others have been fabricated bullshit (Reuben Foster, at least some of the allegations).

We'll find out if it has any legs.

I’m not choosing side, but Watson should come out with a strong statement here, seems like the defendants are slow rolling out accusations building negative public sentiment over multiple days.

Definitely. People were talking about him on Reddit because his IG statement was cringeworthy. He's got a rep for being a douche in Houston but they all said he's a good lawyer too. So we'll see.
