We lost again kc postgame
Worst than Spurrier?

I swear, some people are so effing over the top sometimes.
I judge head coaches on two things. Wins and losses.
After two years Spurrier had 12 wins. So did Zorn.
I guarantee you Rivera does not have that many wins after two years. It would mean we win at least 5 this year.
I also guarantee you Rivera never wins 8 games here in a season.

I said worst coach here, meaning what he did in Washington. Dont give a crap about Carolina. Not that he set the world on fire there. When his time is done here there is a damn good shot he has the lowest win percentage of any Washington HC in my lifetime. He is well on his way. It may seem crazy to say but it is not. Not based on wins and losses. Definitely not so over the top. Far from it.

Ill add those two probably never had a full compliment of draft picks and dealt with Vinny Cerratto. Talk about set up to fail.

In summary they all suck. But in the end Rivera might suck worse as far as wins and losses.

I am the same way...back during the Gibbs Era...if the Redskins lost I would be in a bad mood for a day or two at least, but now I like...Oh well...Another Loss.

While I still watch the games on TV [emoji342], if I am not busy doing something else like attending an event or fair or working, I really don't care anymore whether the WFT wins or looses. I happy to see them win, but it doesn't bother me when they loose.

We're a small sample size. But our loyalty, on average, is most likely way higher than the average fan. And it's different here right now. Humans can only take so much. It's not right, how poorly this team functions, on and off the field.

He's right. I think we are reaching a boiling point, and fans are going to want to see some real changes and soon. Otherwise, next year they'll be at less than half-capacity and it will be all opposing team's fans.

The NFL (including the other 31 owners) can't be ok with everything going on over here...right? I mean, a failing franchise can't be good for the league, and this franchise is failing at everything.

That's really what it comes down to. What needs to happen for enough of the other 31 owners to say this loser is affecting all of our bottom lines? Fuck a possible future precedent, we are losing money now.

No one will ever miss Snyder, no precedent will be set.

Thing is, yes they could be making more if this big market franchise was doing well, but with the shit loads of money they are making, do you really think they are seeing it as "we're losing money" ?
And if they do, is it to the extent that they'd want to force an owner out... ? Maybe some of them also like having a couple of awfully run franchises in the league. Like if they go through a tough stretch they can always feel/say "well at least it's not Snyderly bad"...

If you have $1,000 dollars, you still want $1,100 dollars instead. And if you have 1 billion dollars you want 1.1 billion. You don't want to drop down to 900 million.

I think the richer people get, on average, not every person, the more they won't put up with losing money. So I do think if the other owners are not making money off of him or possibly losing money, that they would make him sell. I think that's actually the only route. Not too many Donald Sterling examples in pro sports here.

It is a fundamental fact of business, profits that could reasonably be made but aren't ARE seen as losses.

If there was a handbook on how to take down a franchise this team would have a all time seller!!

The Only move I remember Snyder doing that at the time I agreed with 100% was Bringing back Coach Gibbs . Everything else seemed desperate and mismanaged.. Looking towards the future is bleak .. let’s say Snyder keeps team another 10 years what is going to change and be different? NOTHING WILL ! It is sorta fitting that the team lost its name and identity that we all grew up on .. and now we are left with a burned down shell of what many decades ago was one of the Top franchises on the plantet ..a lot of us watched this year by year go down the toilet .. The only real hope is Snyder selling team .. only then can the healing start ..

I think SD's point was just that Billionaires understand and pay attention to their bottom line more than the average person. They are less likely to overlook or put up with losses that could be prevented. For a lot of them, that is why they are Billionaires.

Why was there a memorial anyway? He died 14 years ago. And if you're going to do something like this the team should have bought a bunch of flowers so it didn't end up looking as lame as it did.

The team managed to botch a situation that should have been an easy slam dunk.

Yeah that's what I was saying, the entire thing from the moment they hastily announced they were retiring his number was a shit show. Just a big fucking insult to the fans. I really hope his family didn't come away with a bad taste in their mouths.

Oh man my bad, I heard about this on Sheehan's podcast and saw this picture on twitter, so assumed it was legit. But looking into it this picture sure looks like it was taken back in 2007 when fans created this memorial:

HA! There's our first clue that it wasn't the organization.

I mean it looks like some fans just decided to lay flowers/candles somewhere - not some official ST memorial put together by the organization.

Either way, the memorial set up inside the stadium was the same deal. Poorly executed and not thought out, at all.

And why was it on the visiting sideline?

They had the opportunity to redeem themselves just a bit after the late announcement, and just totally fumbled it away time after time.

But it's one more bbq stain on this oversized greasy t-shirt of a franchise.

Sadly, I get the feeling the other owners don't mind Danny. Some may even like him.

Friend of mine works in the media and has met a few other NFL owners. He always finds a way to diplomatically bring up Danny and the response is always the same: "Oh, Dan just wants to win. That's all."

Not to mention, if you owned the Cowboys, Giants, or the Eagles, you would be delighted that Danny owns a team in your division. Two games per season that are invariably easier to win.

And if you owned the Ravens, you love the contrast between your solid franchise and the clown show down 95. I doubt Steve Biscotti worries that his fans will defect to the WFT. Does Danny?
