Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason
Define “right”. Not being an ass….but seriously. Do you think his reaction would have been any different if they’d told him? What if they went into the draft seriously believing they had no shot at a QB and then Love fell to them? Do they have to call him and get permission before the draft Love? What if they told Aaron they were gonna take a QB and the draft played out in a way where they didn’t take one? That’s awkward too….then he’s like…”oh they want me gone but didn’t take anyone so I’m still gonna whine because know i “know” they don’t want me”. I was married to a diva once. Trust me there is a point where nothing you do makes them happy.
Do you think they handled the situation as well as they could have? Is there anything they could have done differently, or is GB 100% not at fault here? |

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason
He's under contract through 2023. He ain't going anywhere for at least the next 2 seasons. Maybe they'll trade him when he only has 1 year left, but he isn't a spring chicken.
They can have him play out his contract then franchise tag him for at least 2024. He will be there the rest of his career if GB wants. Shut up and ball. No one likes a whiner. |
Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason
A Aron is under contract for like 3 more years.
Love is under contract for 3+1 yr option. GB has to do something. By all accounts, I imagine A Aron is gone after this year but he'll be 1 year older. Maybe he gets a significant injury this season. GB doing their best skins impression with this one. |

Still confident an unhappy Rodgers will show up at camp and ready to go. Talk is cheap and he'll be playing. |

Its hard when you have a aging superstar; its a balance of stroking that ego and long term success of the franchise. The Celtics back in the day held on to Bird, McHale and Parrish way way to long, it set them back years doing that. |
Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason
AR should have won multiple superbowls with GB. The lack of talent around him throughout his career there has been lackluster at best. Im sorry but when you have that type of quarterback at the helm and you draft his replacement in the first round when he has several years left to play ,…well just a bad move. Why are you drafting for the future when your window was now? Are you telling me GB wasn’t a couple pieces from winning another title last year? Rodgers certainly was not the issue. If I was Rodgers Id wanna go somewhere where they are going to give me a chance to win more championships and if that makes me a diva cool.

Yeah…..I’m not giving up anything for Rodgers. |

There might be a couple but I don't see the WFT as one that needs him. Teams want to draft a youngster and have them take over. |

And have him on a rookie contract for several years. |

Deshaun Watson’s no-trade clause is determining which teams the Texans will talk to, but Houston’s demands are what has held up a deal thus far, per source.
