What a shocker. I can't even grasp all of this. I used to think McNabb was overrated. I came around and think he's a pretty damn good asset.

Now, for the Skins, I don't really know what to think here. Does he renogiate his contract? He's only good for 2010. Did we give up a 2nd and a 3rd/4th rounder for 1 year? I would think not. I think McNabb has several good years left in him. I think i've got to reserve judgement to see if we have him more than 1 year.

He immediately makes us better. We still don't have an oline. We are still missing some key pieces. We still need to build thru the draft, but we don't have really any picks left besides #4. Hmmm...

What puts this into perspective is knowing there are guys listed under McNabb who have won at least ONE...

^^I posted this last night on like the fourth page about LaRon and Albert being used as trade bait for this trade.
Dude, read my post. I'm not saying that blowing up this team was a bad thing. I just said that adding a veteran quarterback to a team that is rebuilding is a HORRIBLE THING!!! We need those picks to draft lineman and linebackers. We're 3-4 right? We need more linebackers too! This is dumb! And Pathetic! And yes, Vinny orchestrated this deal. I know he did!
I think Allen and Shanahan don't believe in rebuilding. They think they can win now with this roster. You don't bring in Mike Shanahan for a rebuilding project. Allen said that he expects guys to play better and we know they'll be coached better. Oline is still a huge concern so I'm sure they have a plan for that. Let's wee what happens on draft day. I'm still hoping for Brandon Marshall!!!! McNabb to Marshall! OK I'll stop dreaming.

I gotta go update my roster. I've never played with McNabb as my QB before...

At least he has gotten close enough to a Championship to choke in one. This franchise hasn't even sniffed a Championship game in almost 20 years. Yes, it has almost been 20 years!

Or now do the skins go Dez in the draft? and get a OT with the JC trade?

That's how they do things in Philadelphia...you can't blame McNabb alone. You could blame Reid though. :D

Losing is their tradition.

Good question...do we pay for a new contract? We better after giving up a 2nd-rounder.

If no cap...no problem...if anyone can afford him, it's us.

there are only so many positions of need we can improve with the draft. some positions are going to require stop gap measures until we can find young talent.

we were able to address a position of need with the 3rd winningest QB in the league right now for a 2nd round pick+a 3/4th next year. we now can confidently can take a guy for the oline in the 1st to address the other most glaring need.

i dont even want to ask, but i will. what proof do you have that "vinny orchestrated this deal?"

I just hope Larry Johnson, Donovan McNab, & Willie Parker dont turn out to be Trung Canidate, Jeff George, and TJ Duckett.

Im soooooooooooooooo trying to be optomistic but it sure seems like we are doing the same things we have done for years.

And i know D-Mac is wayyyyyyy better that George.

Thats EXACTLY my point! Only so many positions that we can fill through the draft and now, we throw away even more of those positions for an old man that is not going to do much better than a guy we already have.

And about Vinny..........................I just know it. I know he had something to do with this deal. He's back, I know he is. Because this deal has Vinny Cerato's sig on it.
